Where is it? Where WAS it? And most importantly, WHAT was it?!

I still hold firm that a craft named Aurora was once on the drawing board. And more to the point, perhaps it was really a code-name for an entirely new TYPE of such things...

All I do know is that its fell off the radar, so to speak...

But where? And why???

Any thoughts??

The aurora project is a black ops project as far as i know. The SR-71 blackbird flew in the mid 60s but only got revealed in the mid 80s and then it was still a thing of sci-fi to us despite of its age.

I doubt you will see much of it anytime soon if the projects still exists under that name.

I have a feeling you're right about that....

The F-117 was right under the shroud of secrecy till it blazed a very public debut in the original Gulf War, and it went on to an odd kind of status afforded the Millennium Falcoln or something!!!

indeed.Aurora is still interesting though because all the other ones are publicly known. I do not believe for a minute they will not do their best to keep at least one of them secret.

Just patiently wait for the next UFO fan to start screaming "ALIEN CRAFT", "ALIEN CRAFT", and then look at the triangle craft that they are reffering to in the photo or video there you will see the crafts involved in that type of program associated with the craft you mention.

You see, there are no "aliens" or outer space grey martians piloting these things like the nutters are thinking. Or at least 99.9999999% percent of them if not 100% of them They are HUMAN MEN and really get a hearty roaring laughter at fools who think that there are "aliens" piloting them.

But HECK, its so much more fun for them to think that any strange craft is filled with "aliens" or outer space greys and martians and pleiadians and reptiles, and hybrids, and other silly nonsense. Why go with the most PLAUSIBLE and RATIONAL assumption that they are HIGHLY classified craft with HUMAN pilots in them enjoying the "space-man" cover story? Nah, thats NO FUN, is it??!!!!!

So just wait patiently for the next UFO buff here to present their "alien" triangle craft pics and vids, and there you will see the human MAN-MADE projects going strong. Minus the "outer-space" men assumption.

I've even pictures of such a craft, and it crops up in documentaries on National Geographic Channel and Discovery in regard of future weapons and technology...

In fact, what been alleged to of been Aurora looks suspiciously like a slightly smaller, entirely dark version of the NASA X-33....

Which is----

One the new-fangled replacement of the traditional, 80's era Space Shuttle!!!!

No, I understand you point. The "oh, its a ufo" is a cover-story that USAF have openly admit to perpetuating for decades. And CIA documents obtained under the FOI say as much...

The taboo of a pilot saying he's seen a ufo is now a psychological deterrent to make one doubt they've even seen it at all!

Its all tricky one-ups-manship, and Aurora is the bread and butter of aviation-themed sightings, and rumours....

Completely untrue - it was revealed before it ever flew!!

The F-117 was revealed to the public by 1989 and as the F-19 it had been an open secret" for most of the 80's

F117 tech is early 70s tech..................
The secret was kept fairly well dont you think?
Aurora may have been for the black space program not the publics ......
There is, of course the swpt wing design spotted refuelling from a KC 135 over the North sea by a plane spotter champion....
He described it as being accompanied by two US fighter aircraft.....
Also i believe Boeing has a morphing body orbital plane they are working on, as well as there is an x wing design out there somewhere....
Nor have i any idea if the new space plane they launch from piggy back is any relation to aurora......
There must be some evidence of the aurora in the progressions of design lately.....

Actually the design was called for in 1974, and "Have Blue" first flew in 1977 - so it is better described as "mid 70's" rather than early.

until is wasn't - of course. Lots of secrets have been - but it is notable that none of hem have been secrets for very long.

Aurora may have been for the black space program not the publics ......

or nothing at all....

Not quite - it was a former member of the Royal Observer Corps.

There's a "good" Aurora timeline here

There must be some evidence of the aurora in the progressions of design lately.....

So what is it?

Note that the previous super-secret aircraft have been revealed within a handful of years of their first flight.

Aurora, if we believe the story, was budgeted to be built in 1985 - 27 years and 4 Presidents ago.......

Anyone ever seen the sci-fi show Stargate, these last few years?

In the main series of Stargate: SG1 they actually integrated Area 51 as a main story location, and the characters have flown new-fangled craft from the place...

Now aside from making cool episodes out of stories no doubt inspired by these kinds of forums, it could be that what we're seeing is a more updated version of the grey information they fed out to us in the 90's via the X-Files...

All's I'm saying is, it could be so, friends; it could be so...
