Even if We Lose this Election, We are already WINNING!!! Here's Why...

As the primaries get on their way and as most of us hope that Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination, it's hard to deny that the main stream media have been trying very hard to keep him contained. As his support grows, they must fight harder and harder to keep him off the air. They have tried everything from ignoring him, to ridicule, to declaring him unelectable, to trying to paint him as racist, irresponsible and dangerous --- DESPITE EVIDENCE PROVING OTHERWISE --- With so many going against him from so many sides, it has become very obvious to us that there is a clear and powerful bias against him in the media.

Here's where the media is winning the battle, but ultimately losing the war:

Ron Paul has the most young voter support out of all the candidates. Why? There could be numerous reasons, but in my opinion it is due to the fact that the younger voters are much more used to looking to the internet for answers. They search for articles, watch Youtube (because many would rather watch a video than read), and listen to podcasts. They are exposed to thousands of articles and opinions, not to mention on-demand soundbites and speeches from the candidates themselves! They can find these videos dating back to the 60's and even beyond, stuff you're not going to see televised on FOX or CNN, stuff that the older voters don't have access to. They listen to the media reports, and then find evidence to the contrary online. Their minds are blown and they start questioning everything they hear. They look for the truth.

While the media is doing a fine job making Ron Paul look "unelectable" to the older masses, as we (the younger voters) get older, we will remember this black-out. We are AWARE of the propaganda, and we are aware of who is behind the corporate media. Communication around the world will only continue to improve, and those who are too young to vote today will have all the tools they need to find out and realize what we are coming to find out during these elections. Plus we'll have kids of our own, and we'll make sure they also stay alert.

So... as we wait for the FOX, CNN, MSNBC, BBC generation to dwindle (though we love them in every other way), we (the informed) will eventually outnumber them. With every coming election we are gaining on them, and we will not allow the two party system to dominate us forever. The ONLY way that the evil, destructive "elite" could continue to hold power over us is if we allow them to pass legislation like SOPA or PIPA to hinder our abilities to communicate. Although we are catching up to their lies, we are still in danger and must fight them every way possible.

In conclusion even if Ron Paul does not become our next President, his campaign has opened our eyes to the propaganda machine like never before. By gaining so much of the younger vote he has shown us that there is still hope for this country! So please, continue the fight, don't let them fool you, and use every resource you have to find the truth. Don't ever let them take that away from you.

Your belief has a basic flaw that is it's undoing. You assume that time is on your side. Time is not on your side. Our liberties are being stripped away at an ever increasing pace. IMO, if anybody but Ron Paul wins in 2012, there will be no 2016 elections.

I too am of the mind that even if Ron Paul isn't nominated for anything, or his campaign folds in a week, that he has already done a great service to the country.
The man makes sense on a lot of issues and a lot of what's ACTUALLY plaguing us as a nation. If nothing else he has made people see things differently. He has woken thousands of people up to the fact that there is a growing problem.

What he needs is a much younger sidekick to continue the fight. A 'Robin' so to speak. Even if he were to appear every 3 or 4 years to keep people thinking in the right direction, it does a lot of good. Nothing is corrected overnight, but the first step is always the biggest and most important after all.

I agree with you that time is not on our side and things may actually get worse, but they don't have to. What we need is to continue to fight, but at the moment we are outgunned. We need more ideas on how to stay on top. I want Paul to win and I will speak up for him every chance I get, but if there is the possibility that we might lose this, at least his campaign has done service to the younger generation who's eyes have opened to the disgusting realities of our Nation.

I couldn't agree with you more.
The man could very well be the greatest president that never was but great men live on forever.
He is doing great work by speaking truth against a flurry of misinformation and lies and if anything inspires people to the truth that just one voice is powerful enough to influence change.

I would love to see him go up against obama without the need for teleprompters. Obama would be done.

I agree with you 100%. Problem is the constant wars we are dealing with and its powerful a tool for population control. The fighting can get worse and no politicians except Ron Paul are saying No to war. I'm afraid if Ron Paul doesn't get elected in 2012 we, as in the world, are done for. The Middle East conflicts will continue and only get worse, so depending on how bad things get, world wide communication could take a big hit in some form or another.

At best we have until the next elections to get someone into office who is anti-war and anti-world policing. Maybe Rand Paul can run. I betcha he will.

Is this like how those who "turned on" in the 60s would never work for "the man" and would teach their kids how to spot "the man" in all his guises ("sometimes satan comes as a man of peace" etc)? I mean sure, the old folks wanted The Gimper for president, oops Ronald Mc... no... Damn, it's hard to remember at my advanced age! Or perhaps its just too hard to resist mockery... Anyway, Ronny Reagan and Daddy Bush got their 'Don't tax and do spend' debt generator online and before anyone could say "I told you so" loud enough to be heard over the pseudo-patriotic shouting, the USA was awash with weapons and newly reconstituted belligerence. Still, that was the last gasp of the old folks, right? The kids of those who were young in the 60s were able to vote en masse from the mid to late 80s, so surely the "military industrial complex", which Eisenhower warned of as he left office and was roundly demonised throughout the 60s and 70s, being blamed not only for the Viet Nam War happening but also for the USAs poor performance in it, couldn't rear its ugly head again. It's obvious, just like Bush jnr tried and failed to say, "Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice; shame on me." Yet that same Bush jnr watched his daddy fool American citizens a second time and then went in for a third go!

Anyway, what do those of us who can remember having to go to the public library to look up details know? I hope you're right and that the internet proves to be the game changer that we thought it might be when it first emerged from behind uber-nerd exclusivity. It's just that it's been easily available to every American for over a decade and I don't see any remarkable impact. So I suppose I'm left having to repeat that old cherry "be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it". By which I mean that if by some astute online campaigning and good fortune Dr. Paul's team do manage to get him into the White House, I'm afraid that you American young uns are in for a serious disappointment.

Man, it sure sounds like OWS all over again. Maybe Ron Paul would be good for the country, maybe not. I don't know. But in addition to listening to him, you should listen to yourselves.

I'm assuming you're intelligent, although sometimes intelligence can get clouded in a political discussion.

Assume people take your advice. The Libertarian party won't win, and you know they won't win. Your stated goal is to take votes from the Republicans. Why? Because you think of them as Jesus touting Fascists. The only conclusion I can reach is that you don't care about Ron Paul in the least. You only care about hurting the GOP. Are you a Democrat pretending to be a Republican, or a Socialist who figures Obama is the best choice for now?

Certainly you're not a Libertarian, because Obama is as far from Libertarian as can be found, yet you want to help his chances.

Ron Paul is inspiring and giving hope to the masses. We have an awesome Constitution and if we followed it we could have an awesome country.

Our best hope is our youth and I am so glad they have Dr. Paul to look up to as he makes an excellent role model.

I pray for him every day and I hope he wins with all my heart.

I have a real short list of heroes and he's on it.
