series is played out IMO , they should either redo the whole thing or kill the series off and start a new approach to zombies.

What do you think would be a good approach for them to take?, bring back static view points?, kill off all the old characters and bring in new ones?, and they did start a new approach to zombies in Dead Rising .
Imo i think if they can bring back the scare factor, give the game a good story it will be all good . Plus we have zombies back, so that is one good thing .edit on 19-1-2012 by mcdgray129 because: (no reason given)

the scare factor is the key to making it successful when it's a new series, if they want to revamp zombies i think they should just make a whole different game with that approach , maybe not so much a virus being released but leave people in the dark for the first game, maybe leave some clues as to what started the infection but mainly focus the first game on survival and scarring the crud outta people.

They already revamped it with 4 and 5, it doesn't really work, they should just kill off the series.
If they started again fresh, we'd end up with Res Evil 1 all over again, which wouldn't be such a bad thing.
Res Evil 0 was the last good one they made IMO.edit on 20-1-2012 by Chukkles because: (no reason given)

You know I would absolutely lap up HD versions of Res Evil 1 and 2.
I would go as far as offering sexual favours.
