(Reuters) - The billionaire co-founder of Carlyle Group private equity company is donating $7.5 million to restore the Washington Monument, which has been closed since it was damaged by an earthquake in August.

If it is worth $7.5 million to Rubenstein to have the monument repaired, I would guess it has some deeper meaning to him than simply a big obelisk honoring our first president. He is a co-founder of the Carlyle Group after all.

The masonic/occult linkages in this story run pretty deep.

Does anyone know if the monument serves as more than a symbol to the occult, I mean, does it have an actual function? Or, I should say, is there speculation as to what function it may serve?

Or maybe he is just a good guy. And wanted to do something good with his boat load of money. It seems everything in this world is a conspiracy these days.

I say if a rich guy wants to pay for the Washington monument to be fixed, good for him, as long as it's not coming out of my pocket.

Actually, the repairs are expected to cost $15 million, Congress allocated $7.5 million, with the other $7.5 million to come from private donors, so you are not totally off the hook for the bill.

Also, I never said this had to be a conspiracy. I simply suggest that given he is a co-founder of the Carlyle Group, it's ties to G.H.W. Bush, and speculation surrounding masonic and illuminati ties, I think it is interesting that he decided to put down $7.5 million to repair the monument, which was built by masons and has many features which could be described as occult symbolism.

I suggest keeping an open mind regarding the possibilities, that is all.

Nice but pretty sure that 7.5 could have gone to some struggling families with hospital bills or some homeless shelters...but I guess it was a nice gesture and who's to day he does not dontate his money elsewhere...

The original function of this monument was to honor the first President of the United States of America and as the general that lead the victory against the British Empire. The United States did what no other country had done before, or even thought to do such.
Could it be that this is just a monument to the life and work of one man?
According to the history, there were debates as to what it should take, and ultimately where the materials were to come from. It took more than 30 years, and ultimately had things put into it, such as carved relief’s on the stone on the inside. It has stood since its building and ultimately, as a symbol that shown out, the tallest structure in the world until the building of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It still stood after the earthquake, and should be repaired.
Is it wrong to honor people who have sacrificed much to achieve so much for so many, including those of their descendants?

SYMBOLIC IMPORTANCE Interestingly, this earthquake also cracked the pyramidion on top of the Washington Monument. Symbolically, this represented the "cracking of the eye" of the Illuminati -- indicating their ever-increasingly-imminent downfall.

All I know is David Wilcock reported on it being cracked by an earthquake that allegedly destroyed a deep underground military base according to "inside sources" - synchronistically and symbolically relating to the downfall of the powers that be..

Take it with a pinch of salt as there's no evidence except supposed inside sources.

"The obelisk is a long pointed four sided shaft, the uppermost portion of which forms a pyramid. The word 'obelisk' literally means 'Baal's shaft' or Baal's organ of reproduction" (Page 341 Masonic and occult symbols illustrated. Dr. Cathy Burns)

The obelisk is an ancient Egyptian-Aryan symbol of the Sun, the male energy, the phallus. The Washington Monument is the world's most famous phallus symbol. As far as I can tell this penis/sun worship goes back to the ancient pagan worship of Nimrod in Babylonian. As the story goes Nimrod was kill by one the son of Noah and hack him into little pieces--sending to part off to different cities as a warning not practice his evil. Those who worshiped Nimrod as the sun god brought the body parts back together and the one member of his body that was missing become the object of worship there after. It is very evident that Freemasonry has "erected" these obelisks in money and power centers like London, Paris, New York and of course the one towering over the White House. Most lower-level masons have no knowledge of this the history and origin of the obelisk. However, I suspect that may be a different story with a top globalist who is willing to spending $7.5 million out of his own pocket to fix Washington Monument. Now that is what I call phallus envy. What a Nimrod!
