This page:

www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/700.php

continues to run on my system even AFTER I have logged off abovetopsecret.com and even close the browser window I had been using to view the site.

This is some sort of add-spy and should be terminated when logged off but it is not.

Please check this out and, if you concur, please ask management here to stop they spying.

It looks like it could be code for some of the ads that display here....

Just another reason to keep up to date on your firewall and spyware detectors. I doubt ATS is spying on us but it would be nice to hear from someone about this issue.

You actually log off this site?
Just kidding!

That is kind of weird, how did you find this?

The idea that any members of staff individually or as a group have the time or inclination to spy on members is ludicrous.

As well as living our own lives and working,we have enough to do helping to keep discussion orderly and implementing new and innovative features to the board.

Besides all that "spying" on members runs contrary to what all of us believe in.

So we haven't got the time to spy on thousands of members,we haven't got the means to spy on thousands of members, and we have no desire to spy on any member.

I hope this answers your question.

Not possible. That page only loads for unregistered users (guests), and even then contains very simple code that envokes ad banners. It functions from within an iframe (inline frame) at the bottom footer for guests. What makes you think it continues to run?
