WHAT is going on with the police in America? It seems they have become a law unto themselves!

news.ninemsn.com.au...

When this cop realised he was being videoed on a phone, he threatened the phone's owner with arrest if he didn't hand it over! I hope he gets stripped of his job and pension! It's nothing less than he deserves!

Thoughts?

Revolting, what a lovely world we live in, that police think they have rights over.

The story says he just got back from serving 6 years in the army. Thoughts? Strip him naked, string him up by his nuts, and beat him with a baseball bat. Dude has no business being a cop.

While it's true that it's hard to determine who is at fault in a video that starts "mid-battle", and without any information on the "why" I have to say.... There was no reason to punch her in the face. Bad move.

Bad moves like this one deserve the same consequences as those anyone would receive if they restrained an unarmed person and them punched in the face. The whole name calling thing is irrelevant. You're an adult, on the job, and no longer in grade school..

There is a fairly new show on cable TV called 'Police POV'. It's basically another COPS type reality show with one key difference. The cops participating in this show have very small, lightweight cameras on a band they're wearing on their head. It captures everything they see, not what they should have seen.....but also leaves nothing to lie or cover up later.

Perhaps citizens need to start demanding these not just be for a TV show, but be flat out required for every uniformed cop, period. Have them miniaturized a bit further, tamper proofed and then required to run for the entire shift, every shift....then kept for a few months or whatever for records. If an 'accident' interrupts recording, it needs to be the subject of a real investigation....before such accidents become downright frequent and defeat the purpose of accountability.

They are HAPPY to point to technology of all kinds to use against US....how about THEY take some technology in their OWN life for the protection of the citizens.........like this lady, here.

Can you imagine if this didn't happen on city bus, but in a dimly lit ally, I think the headline would read...

Mentally Challenged Woman Found Beaten To Death, Police Have No Suspects

We need a "must prosecute" Amendment to the US Constitution in regards to police officers who appear to be breaking the law. As Police Departments can no longer be trusted to self review, so requiring it to go to trial(or the Prosecutor is automatically guilty of High Treason[hence the need for an Amendment) would allow for civilian review.
