That's old news, that diagram was made by people who have inside knowledge based on worker interviews and some guesswork. The sat photo has been up for many months, no mystery there.

wow, nice map.. but a few thought went into my mind

1. inside information mayb, but if so, the goverment takes off al real informaion as they can find on the net, that map is old.
2. it probelly is fake due to reason of 1.

the "real" map looks like a old city or something, it most probelly is not area51, and some thing else like another secert base... but there is a chance it is, and how come no one has posted this on tv or anything...

but area 51 is out there.

The sat photo is correct as of 2003, they've finished the reconstruction of the south ramp by now and are now on other things. Construction and improvement of facilities there is a continuous ongoing process. As for the drawing its just a picture done in a paint program showing relative positions and names/functions of the various buildings. Again, although errors are a possibility it looks reasonably sound.

tomodachi, why would the government care about satellite photos which show basically nothing other than the existence of a classified facility? They know when russian or commercial imaging sattelites fly over, they know when to hide the MiGs or other covert operations. It's not like anybody has ever gotten a photograph of any ongoing black program aircraft, MiG's excepted of course, they're only semi black.

well from what ur saying there is enouth evadence to make it "public" to do something about it, and for the goverment to actually confess about the conspericys. I think, if i was govermetn and there where photo shop drawings of secert places that were quite accurate.. i would stop that.

MPJay how do you know this. Ifs its so secert why would common people no it and have it on the net, i do believe there is a "AREA51" but, not what we are looking at, maybe i am wrong, but i personally think that map is more fake that what you would expect

i believe the map is not fake, anyway why should the government be botherd we know what a base looks like. If anything is going to happer, it will be on the inside. Anyway, if you look at other satalite photos you,ll notice that there are same parts

RAF training in area 51

I have every reason to believe this story to be true and although the facts may be slightly un clear ill give you the basics as i remember them and you can make your own minds up and do your own research.
A good freind of mine was a corpral in the Royal Signals Regiment (England) and was posted to a position in the first gulf war to help with the satellite link up between the american air force and the RAF(apparentley tornado fighters were covering warthogs that were doing low level,slow speed bombing runs by giving air support and keeping watch for enemy aircraft)
During this time he got the oppurtunity to speak to several American and English pilots,one of which was a Tornado Squadron leader,who told an intresting story of being involved in a joint Anglo/ American training exersise that had taken place some months earlier in the nevada deserts,the purpose of which being that Tornado pilots are respected as being some of the best low level bombing pilots in the world and were teaching their skills to their American counterparts.
On arrival in the deserts the English pilots were given a few days to familirize themselves with terrain and land marks etc before engaging in training.On returning after some low level practise the squadron leader asked his American counterpart for information as regarding a runway they had flown over earlier that was not on any maps,he was told point blank that he had not seen the runway and that it didnt exsist,the tornado pilot insisted he be informed of the runways position and useability incase one of his guys had a problem and needed to make an emergency landing there,again he was told that the runway didnt exsist and that he hadnt seen what he thought hed seen,annoyed the tornado pilot demanded that for the safety of his team details be made availble to his boys of the runway,the answer was point blank "Sir,that runway does not exsist and if you or your boys land on it,or anywhere near it,you will not exsist either"

Sorry,its not much of a story but i do believe it to be true,does any one have any more info on british pilots training on the Nevada test sites?

I know this because there are guys out there who basically are obsessed with doing proper research, to the point of buying up to date satellite photos from space imaging of Groom Lake. This coupled with the fact there are a number of images showing the history of the base and how its changed through the years is absolutely verifiable.

I can't say the map is real, but I CAN say that it certainly looks correct compared to satellite images, and general setup of Lockheed, and other government contractor residential/working areas. Of key interest is the "Sam's Place". Such compounds always seem to have a place like this in or near the Rec center. If similar to such places, it's likely a combo of arcade, snack bar, restaurant and is probably a popular hangout of the base kids there. (not to mention the only place for miles for takeout...as you can't exactly call Domino's, hehe...) This also corresponds to "base kid" talk stories, so I'd have to say the map is more accurate than it is inaccurate...

Every year the US invites the RAF over to Nevada for various events. One of them is the Low Level bombing competition. It has changed over the years but basically is fairly simple, fly out, come back, bomb a target don't get seen. I sat recording photographs of each attack on the intended target one year. The only decent images I got of the RAF boys was of their tail fins above the heat haze before they hit the target. Result was RAF 10 ROW 3. RAF keep the trophy. That was several years ago. Apparently the RAF have recently won again. Marks and scratches on the underneath of one aircraft was put down to cactus and or brush. God save her Majesty!

Whoa, I did'nt know the place was that big.

its about a mile from the north ramp to the south ramp. There's 2 runways, one touted as the "worlds longest" ins't in fact......and hasn't been used for some time. The runway on the right, or east is the active one, only 12 thousand feet or so. Quite a few international airport runways are longer. It is a farly extensive facility and some parts of it go for several miles north, various radar cross section ranges and threat radars to see how enemy radars handle the newest stealth planes.

Nice post! Why don't some ATS-user just get a job @ Groom Lake so that the public won't need to speculate anymore? ;o)
