Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani dismissed the Defense Ministry’s second-ranking official yesterday amid an argument with army leaders over a Supreme Court probe. Top judges are investigating a purported government memo seeking U.S. help to prevent a possible military coup.

Hmmm , could all the tough talk out of Pakistan since the OBL killing and the drone attack be attributed to an internal power struggle between the military leadership and the civilian government ?

Also , could some of the US military actions in Pakistan be done at the request of the government and kept from the military leadership as part of this internal power struggle ?

Thats the trouble with civilian rule, the non coms. start to get the gravy, instead of where the real power is.It sounds like Coup time isnt that far away.Cheap nukes anyone?

Perhaps , but as per the report ... There is a chance that the government may have asked the US to help if move for power is ever acted upon by the military
