FYI it is blinking red right now hard to miss but if that blinking stops it is just north east of terhan in the Caspian Sea.

They probably had one of their nukes in that underground nuclear facility go off prematurely.
I'd bet a box of donuts on that .. but we'll probably never know .. unless the nuke meters in the
nearby countries start beeping ...

There would be 4 options here.

1,natural quake. are they quake prone?
2, nuke went off.
3, Plate tectonic warfare.
4, haarp.

Well take a look at the quake graphic and if one match the one below



Green is a nuke
Black is a Earth Quake with a P-wave before the main one
Depth 20.1 km (12.5 miles) a bit to deep for a nuke

From my understanding from what I have learnt over at the EQ thread...an atomic bomb would not register this high, also the pattern on the seisoms are different.

The video game Battlefield 3 makes the claim that Iran is the most seismically active location in the world. but considering the source and the audience I definatley took that with a grain of salt. Right after losing another one of their physicists too.
