If you consider Mother Nature a `higher power`,then yes.

But with several earthquakes in the US today, perhaps we shouldn`t throw stones.

Considering the current tensions, definitely the most likely scenario.

I saw this along with the couple in the past week(without any aftershocks) and wondered if perhaps they were preforming under gound nuke testing

Its always very convient having a reason/excuse that no one can prove or deny.

Do what you want, blame somthing you made up. Everyday theres somthing new, people will do what they want with the most available and unchallengable motivations.

Do you think that every time there is a major earthquake, God is punishing that particular country?

What about people that get cancer, including children? Is God punishing them?

Stuff happens, to the good as well as the wicked. End of story.
