There almost certainly was nothing in the Library at Alexandria that would have advanced our culture technologically that wasn't widely known at the time.

Most of the Library was created by confiscating books and returning copies of those books to the original owners.

There are other, intact, libraries as old (or older) that the one at Alexandria.

What are the older libraries? The only thing I found on the internet is this started in 6th century AD which is younger than the library in Alexandria. (Or maybe you mean libraries like the clay tablets from Persepolis?)

Wiki has a short list :List of libraries in the ancient world.
Here's a book on several ancient libraries and their contents.
This webpage lists several, some of which are live links to more info.

The library in your quote and link is noteable because it's still in operation.

No other ancient library is still an actual, working, library.

Good catch.

They all have cars as well, since it's obvious they can't hitchhike.

Do you understand the number base you count in is base 10? (or do people in your region actually count in base 22??)

If so, do you understand that computers operate in base 2?

If so, are you familiar with converting numbers from base 10 to base 2?

If so, are you familiar with base 8?

If so, are you aware that a conversion from base 8 to base 2 is much easier than a conversion from base 10 to base 2?
