RT Coverage of NYPD attack on OWS TV

This is a fairly interesting interview with one of the OWS supporters on the recent eviction the NYPD enforced on the Global Revolution TV station which was covering the OWS events.

It seems to be an example of the NDAA in action from what they supporter says. At least for me, this is the first case i heard about the NDAA being put in practice.

And Hillary Clinton had the nerve to plead with Russia to treat protesters decently. The American government is a bad joke!

Im afraid the the NDAA will soon specifically targeting protestors. Just like the people who are targeted for having a food supply of greater then 7 days, bogus suspicions such as that will be put on the people.

When you are deemed a terrorist you lose all your rights as a human being. There a a vast group of people who support the torturing of terrorists in America.

I hope in the end that people wake up to this fake terrorist game and not support it. I swear the whole world we live in is like a video game, brutal leaders who feel they have the right for global domination.

It is a shame the Occupy movement couldn't come up with one main thing they stood for that people could get behind. Most people have lost interest because it turned into a flaky movement, especially after the unions started getting involved.

If they had gone with getting corruption out of government or
not allowing lobbyist to pay there way through congress.
This movement would have gone farther. I don't think you can just have general discontent with something and get your point across.

I for one liked the movement originally, but quickly lost interest because it was going nowhere and it was completely disorganized.

When these guys can take just a pinch of pride in themselves and work on a presentable appearance, it will be easier to take them seriously. He's going on television and a broadcast with wide spread viewership. If the claim is still to represent the majority of America, I'd have to point out that the vast majority of America would have on some nice looking clothes at the very least for a studio interview. This isn't a man on the street catch where no one quite looks their best.

Oh..and the dramatics are getting a little old. Goldie? Really? It may sound really dramatic to suggest he's hiding his name...to someone out there...it's almost funny to hear the claim. I mean he's in Occupy. He honestly believes they don't have a fairly complete dossier on him by now if he's enough of a presence to be the one appearing for RT?

I'd like to note the Occupy group I was with was made up largely of middle to lower middle class people for the actual protest folk. As are most of the nation's camp's I've watched on live stream. OWS (New York) really needs to work on that image problem they just can't get out from under. It's not like finding a decent person to represent the movement would have been impossible. Far from it.

It is a shame that the appearance of someone can either gain or lose them respect... but you speak the truth on this . American's (majority) are vain.

If you see, for instance a newscaster from the UK they can look like crap and they will keep that camera on them, but here in America even if they are covering a dang hurricane there is not a hair out of place.

So until they can get some respect from the majority they should look respectful.

I felt the same way until I realized that there is more than one issue with OWS...think about it. It can only be summed up as people tired of getting financially raped by their governments and banking system. It is not a lost cause, due to the fact that all over the world we see how the governments are reacting to peacefull protests and NAZI comes to mind. History is repeating itself and I am afraid this time it will be uglier than before.

OWS's problem, and the Occupy movement to a lesser extent, is that they look Socialist. There is no way to directly address any of their demands without further control of society by TPTB.

I think socialism has a place for some people, no one makes a sports fan be a fan or an artist be an artist, but everywhere on the planet under socialism wont work IMO.

I'm afraid that is part of the problem. Every time somebody talks from one of the occupy movements they are there for a different reason. there is not any one thing that people can get behind. The media makes it look worse than it is, BUT that is all that most people see. So they are making it way to easy for the media to make them look flaky.
I am generally discontented with the government and big corps and don't depend on my media from the main channels and even I think they look flaky. Just imagine what it looks like to the average FOX or CNN watcher.

if OWS was not working the braudcasts would be ongoing,
their actions show just how scared TPTB are of people with moral convictions and cameras can be.
let this be a message,
the truth shall shine light on the dark heart of men and woman who seek to enslave,
and the cheif tool of enslavement is the MSM.
we dont need them they need us

by showing the juxaposed position taken by the MSM and the truth braudcast via the internet people world wide are awakening.

this is true in the us as well

the truth will not be censored because we all have cameras.

Of those who say that the movement is disorganized and doesn't have a coherent/concise/consistent message, how many have actually gone to one to participate or witness this disorganization and lack of central message?

Follow up question:

Of those who say they have not gone down to witness and/or participate, how many watch the main stream media?

Justification for questions:

Every news outlet I've watched typically preface their commentary of the Occupy movement with statements of "incoherent", "disorganized", "lacking a central message", "all over the place".

So, I'm just saying, you gotta wonder - despite being on ATS where MSNBCNNFOX have few cheerleaders - how many of you are still being informed on issues by the mainstream media despite this acknowledgement of the lies and propaganda inherent in them.

Yes I agree. Most people are learning isolated facts and over simplified opinions from the system that construct their view of the world.
