I was just wondering if any one knows if there is any connection between Freemasonry and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies?

The reason why I ask is because if the crescent and it similarity to the Shriners symbol, just turned sideways.

Also are there any other societies that the Freemasons have started or are connected to, as far as charities, relief, or the UN (I have seen the UN flag in the Victoria Lodge and was wondering if there was some connection between the two?). BTW I know that a lot of people in this forum have things against the UN, do to the "NWO" thingy, but it seems like an organization that may have been founded by Freemasons, do to the humanitarian aspects and peace keeping.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this? Seeing how so many people seem to concentrate on the "bad" things I thought I would change the pace and see if there are

There is no connection between the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and any non-Masonic organization.

Individual Freemasons have instituted and supported charities and organizations outside of Freemasonry, but there is no connection between Freemasonry and these other groups. For example, Boy Scouts of America and the International Benevolent and Protective Order of Elk were founded by Freemasons, but neither Boy Scouts or Elks are Masonic organizations.

This has to set something of a record in terms of necrothread resurrection. A decade?

Eesh!
