I saw some information about Hurd's Deep. Amongst many, many others. Since I am an American, it seemed best to start at home.

And for NuclearDiver:

www.clas.ufl.edu...

Earthquake information about the Gulf, from the University of Florida, Department of Geological Sciences.

And from 2006, about a 6.0 that reverberated from Louisiana to Florida:

www.msnbc.msn.com...

And one from February of that year, showing a helpful graph with gas/oil deposits very near the epicenter, which is also referred to as usually stable, which is the whole point of the thread.

I would be glad to, if the links here are not enough.

What additional information are you interested in?

The dumping of these ships (Operation CHASE) prompted this legislation:

en.wikipedia.org...

and was in a three square mile area of the Atlantic between the Bahamas and Florida. Vague.

It was big news at the time, and led to the banning of dumping ships of toxic materials at sea, and other wastes as well.

This left the military with a lot of experimental waste and a lack of imagination, as usual, on how to "solve" its problems without being seen.

Probably dumped it and didn't tell anyone this time, lol.
"Oops, we lost another one! How unfortunate! Darn it, why do they keep sinking?!"
