Ron Paul: “chickenhawks like Newt want to send your kids to war”.

Isnt that always the way? The biggest war mongers (Newt, Santorum, Romney etc.) either dodged the draft or didn’t serve, but they want to send us to die and to kill.

Whats interesting is that every article makes it appear as though Ron Paul went on the offensive when in fact they asked him to respond to a derogatory remark made by Newt Gingrich.

I guess if Newt doesn’t want to deal with the truth, maybe he should keep his mouth shut.

When asked about Ron Paul’s response, Newt did what he does best: lie.

Yesterday, Gingrich said he never applied for a single deferment. "I had two children during that period, I never asked for a deferment because during the period I was a father, and it was automatic," Gingrich said.

"My dad, by the way, served in Vietnam…”

tiny.cc...

No one asked about your dad...

But its not that simple. While deferments were available, he still could have served but chose not to.

Like most of his generation, Gingrich was moderately anti-Establishment (he tried pot, and participated in a campus protest at Tulane University) and chose not to go to Vietnam, opting for deferments available to him as a father and a student.

But unlike most young men his age, Gingrich would be haunted by his decision. Later, when, as a hawkish congressman, he would lash out against the "weak-on-defense left" and espouse universal military training, his opponents would investigate Gingrich's own military background.

Sure enough, he found himself listed among a sizable group of noted conservative hawks (including George Will and Richard Perle) who had managed to avoid the war, the "war wimps," as they came to be called. In 1985, he told Jane Mayer of The Wall Street Journal that he still believed that "Vietnam was the right battlefield at the right time." Why didn't he go? "Given everything I believe in, a large part of me thinks I should have gone over," he allowed. But, recovering, he added, "Part of the question I had to ask myself was what difference I would have made."

Pure scum.

Guess its true what they say, it takes a veteran to understand a veteran.

im starting to wonder about the whole conspiracy that Ron Paul is a tool of the Illuminati or whatever.. because the way the MSM plays him is just too freaking obvious... its like i feel im being led into a trap by assuming im too clever to fall for the obvious trap.

but then again, its far more likely that everyone is just freaking stupid. stupid people are always obvious in their stupidity.. maybe there is no great game at all.. maybe its just a bunch of idiots running around with their pants down shoving money up each others asses?

Great, another post by someone whos fragile ego compels them to say nothing of consequence, just to further the delusion of their own superior intelligence.

Ron Paul does not need to say anything about men like this, there is a song that says it best...

Come you masters of war You that build the big guns You that build the death planes You that build all the bombs You that hide behind walls You that hide behind desks I just want you to know I can see through your masks. You that never done nothin' But build to destroy You play with my world Like it's your little toy You put a gun in my hand And you hide from my eyes And you turn and run farther When the fast bullets fly. Like Judas of old You lie and deceive A world war can be won You want me to believe But I see through your eyes And I see through your brain Like I see through the water That runs down my drain. You fasten all the triggers For the others to fire Then you set back and watch When the death count gets higher You hide in your mansion' As young people's blood Flows out of their bodies And is buried in the mud. You've thrown the worst fear That can ever be hurled Fear to bring children Into the world For threatening my baby Unborn and unnamed You ain't worth the blood That runs in your veins. How much do I know To talk out of turn You might say that I'm young You might say I'm unlearned But there's one thing I know Though I'm younger than you That even Jesus would never Forgive what you do. Let me ask you one question Is your money that good Will it buy you forgiveness Do you think that it could I think you will find When your death takes its toll All the money you made Will never buy back your soul...

No, unfortunately it isn't. Every day the new topics board fills with Ron Paul Threads. How about the Mods just giving him his own Forum?

The problem is it isn't interesting threads either, if you are honest it is getting to the point on here where every statement he makes gets its own thread and that is just plain ridiculous.

I will say it again in this thread. I have absolutely nothing against Ron Paul. However, there are now so many threads popping up about him it is getting past the point of ridiculous. Does every day warrant multiple new threads? No, no subject does. When it occurs with other topics then Mods simply close some down or move to one thread. Why not do the same with same here? All i am really saying is lets have a bit of parity.

Also, who mentioned anything about superior intelligence or even hinted at such a thing?

Clearly you are something of a moron.

I honestly could not care less who is the president of the USA - it has nothing to do with with me. Probably why i get fed up seeing so many threads about exactly the same thing......

From what i have read he appears to be a decent politician and therefore probably a good bet for people to vote for. I still fail to see though why almost everything he says gets its own thread. Perhaps someone can explain it to me in simple terms.....

Because he is VERY VERY rare man among the politicians who actualy wants to change and restore United States consequently and the all World. I'm not from US and i do care what is going on in US because of US influence on the World things. He is not only decent politican, with all the things happened and will be happening in next years in the US and the World in this crucial times he is the maybe last HOPE for the good common ordinary people who wants love prosperity and freedom for them ,their family and the rest of the World people. So if you dont see and recognise the importance of this 2012 elections that is your fault ...ignore this forum and go picture some chemtrails and have a fun in 2012 forums.

Appologies for calling you a moron in previous post but you first used this word ..peace

I actually love politics and international affairs / security - it is my main interest and actually what i gained my first degrees in. I also apologise for being antagonistic in my opening post. All i can say in my defense is that it comes from reaching saturation point with Ron Paul. There is genuinely threads popping up about almost everything he says on a daily basis, often multiple threads on the same thing.

Give him a forum, stick his day to day stuff in there. Keep his main stuff for the Politics threads and that way there will be less people like me (who in theory should be attracted to the guy) who switch off when we see his name - it would keep him "fresh" for those around the world interested. I genuinely believe this would serve his interests better than loads of threads popping up about what he just said to someone, etc.

Ron probably wont win but his policies would fix american economy and strengten our defences here in the homeland. We dont need a trillion in military assets sitting in foriegn nations to defend America.

This is the forum for 2012 Elections and the process is just beginning.

You can expect this to continue right up until November 2012.

Youre seeing a lot of excitement about Ron Paul because there is a candidate who is worth getting excited over.

I feel it's very important. Ron Paul has the potential to change America, therefore impacting the world. If you don't like it, avoid this forum. For the rest of us, many feel Ron Paul is the man who could change America and bring it to where it should and can be. If that offends you, then don't click on posts regarding Ron Paul.

RP telling it like it is, again.

You want to be drumming up the war propaganda, you better be willing to serve yourself and/or send your children.

War is perpetual and disgusting, innocent people suffer because of war but these guys don't care as long as their personal lives aren't changed in any way.

Ron has been through it and understands that war isn't necessary unless it actually is. That is what we have congress for, declaring wars when we NEED to, winning them swiftly and bringing our troops home.
