As we all know the 2012 Iowa Caucus for the Republican Presidential Nomination is today with results coming in tonight into tomorrow. This is the first time people can actually vote for the nominee within the primaries/caucuses for 2012. At this current hour it is a statistical tie between three candidates in Iowa; Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum. Any one of these three can win the state and it is essential that someone defeats Romney or else it looks like 2012 will be an easy nomination for him.

There are currently no threads on the subject of official predictions so, this will be the one. Put on your thinking caps and be sure to keep objective reasoning ahead of biased opinion in forming your predictions. Please include not just who you think will win but also what percent you think they will win along with the other candidates, include every Republican candidate if you can.

I personally do not like making predictions, especially when everything is up in the air, but these are mine:

23% | Ron Paul
21% | Rick Santorum
19% | Mitt Romney
13% | Newt Gingrich
11% | Rick Perry
7% | Michele Bachmann
4% | Jon Huntsman, Jr.
2% | Other

The anticipation is killing me. I can't stand it! I don't want to make any predictions, but I look forward to seeing the results as far as who was right and who was wrong. I think Ron Paul should have this in the bag,.... BUT..... with voter fraud and the media fighting tooth and nail to promote ANYONE else, it's hard to tell what the Iowans will do. In my opinion they should feel insulted by the media who claim that if the Iowans don't vote the way the media wants them to, they're just a bunch of dumb farmers, and their votes don't represent the rest of the country.. therefore are irrelevant.

There is no right or wrong.

If the Iowa Caucus was held 3 months ago, the results would be different than they will be tonight.

It's not about right or wrong...it is more about perception.

Looks like you were the closest! Congratulations! It was an exciting night. When I tuned in, the top 3 were at 23% each. How exciting!

Mitt Romney 30,015 24.6%
Rick Santorum 30,007 24.5%

I am surprised that Iowa chose Romney... But only by 8 votes!

What happened to the big Ron Paul win that was predicted so much on here?

Just wondering.
