Censorship ?

Where did it all begin and who has the biggest part to loose if it all failed currently .

Was getting to close to the truth the reason for the increase in it's severity ?
In some cases , I suspect there were personal overtones of friendships involved depending on the medium a person was on . Status in a medium used where one is censored and another is not for the same if not similar out flow of info .

Or giving back to those that have a hard time when the tables have been turned not in their favor . Calling someones bluff in some cases can result in being censored even more because they feel their authority is being challenged in a personal way . Poor sports , cry babies , what ever you want to use to describe censorship and persons who dole it out . Calling a spade a spade , or the pot calling the kettle black .

Is it for someones ego getting knocked back to an equal footing as everyone else . The preferential treatment in choosing one idealist over the common sharing of info between each other offers censorship it's ugly design . The authoritarian rule of censorship being your not worthy . Behind the scenes it's ugliness festers for giving retaliation of sorts . For those that would use it as such a tool , they have nothing to complain about when it happens to them right ?

Censorship is nothing more than one person telling another to, "Shut up".

Censorship is a tool used by weak people who can't or don't have an articulate opposing view.

As much as I would enjoy telling people (even here on ATS) to shut the frack up on occasion, the rights of anyone anywhere should be respected.

When a government uses censorship, it is a case where the said government is weak and innefectual.

Have you read it lately? Here it is:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Who or what is enjoined from making a law? Congress. The first amendmnet is about Congress making laws.
