Strange Occurance

I just got done talking with my grandfather, and he mentioned that some military office called him and left a message on his answering machine. He called back to see what they wanted, and of all things they asked him if he wanted to enlist. Now that wouldnt seem out of the ordinary except for the fact that hes about 86+ and recieved a general discharge many decades ago, so he is on file with them as having served his time.

I was wondering if anyone else had heard of simliar stories where former soldiers were called up and asked to enlist again, and what areas it tends to happen in if so. It just struck me as very odd that they would call him of all people, rather than me since I'm of near perfect age to enlist.

Either your grandad has some super human powers that you dont know about or hes deemed indestructble? Does he ever hum the theme from "Captain Scarlet"? or he could just be well Hard!
