UKIP was founded in 1993 to campaign for the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. Not because we hate Europe, or foreigners, or anyone at all; but because it is undemocratic, expensive, bossy – and we still haven’t been asked whether we want to be in it. But the EU is only the biggest symptom of the real problem – the theft of our democracy by a powerful, remote political ‘elite’ which has forgotten that it’s here to serve the people.

UK-IP History

Let me first say that i think UKIP is the last chance we have as British people to create change in our own society. I see the very bare minimum of positive things coming out of Europe. Since when should any nations people on this planet have no choice in how their own country is run? We have lost power as normal people to have any say on how our own country is ran - 75% of all laws and policies are decided by politicians in Brussels, Germany who are not even elected. The UK gov has lost control of its country and those given control, appear not to have the confidence, nor trust of those people who's lives are changed by their decisions .

90% want vote on constitution
72% see no benefit for the UK
77% think it will be forced through

This all seems a far cry from the 1970's when the UK citizens were assured that they were joining a European trading group called the common Market. 30 years on and the situation is very different, the UK has ended up been governed by a foreign parliament, and the safety net of the right to Veto, has been completely eroded.

Step in UKIP - Nigel Farage.

It is true that the end of the year saw a dip in our polling as Cameron gained a bounce. While I congratulate David Cameron, what is in all honesty could have done differently? The slow realisation will however dawn, that not a single power has been brought back from Brussels and that amidst the new mood of retribution in Brussels, British businesses are under greater threat than they were before the 'veto'.

There is now an overwhelming desire of the British people to have a referendum on this issue, a referendum that Cameron, Clegg and Milliband steadfastly refuse to grant. In 2012 we will continue our progress in local government elections and focus heavily on the London Assembly polls in May.

London needs growth, London needs jobs, London needs the deregulation of employment legislation and London needs control of the mass legal and illegal immigration. UKIP will provide that voice and win seats at the London Elections. Given my views I sadly cannot promise you a prosperous New Year, but one in which the political class further lose their grip on both reality and the country. With all best wishes for 2012,

I could post a dozen more video's of Nigel Farage completely sticking it to the EU's un-elected politicians but they have been posted once or twice on numerous threads.

Heres some cool policies from UKIP

Tax

At the last election we opted to merge 20% basic income tax with 11% national insurance to create a 31% flat tax on all earned incomes over £11,500. As a tax cut for all, with a higher threshold, it would also take the poorest paid out of income tax altogether. It would also mean abolishing the existing 40% and 50% income tax brackets, the latter actually costing the economy rather than taking in revenue. For employers, UKIP aims to abolish employers’ national insurance across a parliament to end the tax on jobs. This will undoubtedly boost employment and simplify the process of employing people.

Defence

· UKIP believes that British forces should not be involved in the Libyan situation.
· Strengthen our commitment to NATO, while withdrawing from all EU operations
· Introduce better pay, conditions and medical care for the British Armed Forces personnel and their families
· Introduce a ‘National Defence Medal’ respecting the service of all armed forces personnel and not just those who saw combat
· Reappraise our operations in Afghanistan to create a single, clear and achievable mission or seek to negotiate a withdrawal with our NATO partners
· Restore historic regiments, such as the Highland regiments, which are being subsumed into planned European battle groups

If only more people voted for these. I guess people just get stuck in their voting ways and go for the usual 3.
