Ron Paul’s campaign rejected the results of a CNN/Time magazine poll Wednesday showing the Texas congressman losing ground against Mitt Romney in Iowa, calling the survey inaccurate – and taking a fresh shot at Romney in the process.

The poll, which had Paul slipping to three 3 behind Romney, only tested registered Republicans – even though Democrats and independents can change their registration to vote in the caucuses.

Seriously though, I'm becoming less and less of a pessimist towards the brain-power of my fellow countrymen every day that I see Dr. Paul climbing in the polls. America really is waking up to the corruption in our corporatocracy of a government and lack of an unbiased media reporting fairly on said corruption. I'm starting to become proud to call myself an American again.

For that matter, what the "F" is the entire deal of the MSM. This is the most overtly I have seen a political contender SMEARED and MALIGNED by one entity.

It's a full scale war against him.

I noticed today while watching the NBC nightly news that they had stopped using the PPP and had replaced it with the CNN/Time poll results. CBS news actually acknowledged RP tonight and talked about him for an almost full 30 seconds. I couldn't believe my eyes!

All the MSM is full of s#!t, propaganda and lies. Read and watch many sources and you can sometimes piece together some truth..

The Iowa caucus is all about who the REPUBLICANS of the state will choose. For PPP to snark at them for not considering other parties is a bit silly, since the Republicans choose a candidate from within their own party.

So, yes, when asking "who are the Republicans going to endorse", you really don't want to ask Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, and others. Just Republicans. There's no guarantee that others will change party affiliations in large numbers just for this vote.

Yes, people can register as a Republican at the Caucus on the day of the Caucus. But don't expect it to be a huge amount of people.

CNN is polling current registered Republicans...this is going to be mostly who is at the Caucus.

A Caucus isn't an election...it is a meeting. It starts at a certain time...meaning that if you aren't in when it starts...you don't get in...they close the doors. Campaigns are having their supporters show up to get in line up to an hour before the Caucus. Everyone has to register and be found on the list of registered Republicans...if they aren't on the list they can register there if they have the proper forms of identification and proof of residency for the correct amount of time. They aren't going to be able to process that many people to register new people. There will be some people...but it is going to be a small percentage of who is going to be at the Caucus.

I see nothing wrong with CNNs methodology at this point in the timeline. The precincts have already been giving their lists of registered Republicans...so anyone not registered right now will have to register at the Caucus...and that isn't going to be a lot of people. Not enough that will affect the results of the Caucus.

I happen to live in Iowa and have a friend that assists in polling campaigns during presidential elections and such. Some of these polls only include Republicans that voted in the last election and does not always include newly registered Republicans or those that switched their party affiliation from Democrat or Independent.

While I believe that polling data is garbage for the most part, it is very easy to leave out certain groups of legitimate Republican voters in order to skew the polling data.

What I find funny is that I have never been called or asked to participate in a poll. Iowa's population is small and I would have thought I would have gotten a call.......but never have.

It is my opinion that the polling groups are contained to the Souix City, Davenport and other outlying areas. Des Moines is a much more liberal area and even the Republicans are socially moderate. Other places in Iowa tend to be hardcore evangelical, anti-gay, anti-Muslim and conform more to the hardline GOP better than the Republicans in Des Moines.

So there are many factors that easily twist this polling data.

i understand what you're saying, but CNN's poll is not the Iowa poll..the Iowa caucus may only be a repub caucus, but CNN is not the Iowa caucus, therefore they have no reason to only poll repubs, they "chose" to poll repubs.

they have a responsibility to poll the entire spectrum for general opinion polls, unless they define who they are polling and WHY they are polling a chosen group.

i see some people saying "what's CNNs deal?"

this has always been their deal. "this" being corruption. and that isn't exclusive to CNN. Mainstream news has everyone conditioned into thinking the way CNN wants you to think, therefore, when they do something "unordinary" like this, their viewers seem surprised.

this is how all major media works...that's why everyone should boycott them. question "authority"!

Yeah who's actually surprised by this? I constantly see inconsistent numbers from the MSM in regards to polls. Personally, you're not talking to someone who believes Ron Paul supporters "slam the polls". If they do, why don't the idiots in the MSM do something to fix poll floods (IE: proxy port scanners, region dependent voting, multiple vote bans, ect). The technology to safeguard is available in most open source polling software.

The MSM is a mouth piece for elite interests, especially the Mil Ind Complex.
Paul appears to be a threat to them.

I think we should collectively stop calling it main stream media (MSM), and start calling it STATE media. Cause that's all it is...PROPAGANDA!!
