Didn't know where else to put this. Couldn't find the general discussion for some reason. It does pertain to relationships too.

This Christmas card goes out to all of you who are alone in one shape or fashion this holiday season. My heart goes out to you because I'm in the same boat myself this year. It's been going slowly downhill for about a year now and just now coming to a head in time for the holidays.

Coincidence or fate?

Love, or the lack of it, doesn't take a vacation.

Remember, Christmas will be here again this time next year. Do everything in your power to make sure that it will be a better one. I know I will.

Keep your head up, stay positive and have a good time. Things WILL get better. I know they will for me.

youtu.be...

youtu.be...

Here's to a happy and prosperous New Year.

Thanks, I'm alone too but when things start to turn bad, leaving is sometimes the best present ever.

Personal disclosure.
I had a 10 year relationship. It was going from bad to worse but one always hopes for improvement. I came home from work one day to find all her possessions and half the furniture gone. No word, no warning, just gone. A week later, the rest of the furniture was gone. Being the self-critical type I blamed myself for it all which is pure folly but there you go. 3 years later the feelings have subdued but it's never a nice thing.

I can now say, hand on heart, that I am glad she left but it took me a while to get here. Living in misery isn't much fun either.

Peace end good tidings to you.

Thanks for sharing mate. I appreciate that.

I've never been through this sort of thing sober before, so it's hard on a few levels. But like you, I'm going to get there.

Thanks again.

This year I am not alone. Last year I was...but not completely...I had my cat Benjarmin...he is a joy all year round!

It is important in life to be your own best friend. Be really good to yourself.

Merry Christmas to you!

Be good to yourself...enjoy the day. Eat some of your favorite foods, watch some good movies...go for a walk...or whatever.

I think in life people need to be their own best friend.

Merry Christmas to you!

Yup, I have just pretty much been with my family and relationship wise I am alone as well for the holidays. Oh well, she dumped like 10 months ago but now I am doing much better realizing I do not that girl in my life and I can just move on. 2012 is going to be a kickass year and I will do everything in my power to make sure it is one lol. Hope all is well and Merry Christmas to you!
