Rutherfords model of the atom is about as acurate as the world being flat. The bottle neck in both astrophysics and quantum physics stems primarily from here.

Only a human would think the entire universe can be summed up on a very lackluster two dimetional model of a fuel hundred elements. It is quite absurb really, and there is absolutely no point trying to argue with the people who worship it. We are men, we are forever dragged into the future kicking and screeming, and most of the time at tremendous human cost. I think, given the scale of the mess we have made with the little knowledge we have, it is maybe a good thing that our growth remains stunted. Regardless, if you wish to persue clarification on the matter, what I tell most people is to begin by asking yourself these 3 questions, Does the sun attract or repel the earth? If gravity is bending space, what is it bending? Can gravitational forces be cancelled?

When you have the right answers to these questions; torsion physics, black holes, dark energy/matter, even cold fusion become very easy to resolve mathmatically.

Low quality, but somehow that makes it more appropriate...
