The problem that comes up is that when you have so many spokesmen is that you get many different interpretations.
Who knows maybe god is trying to get a word in but people won't stop talking long enough to listen.

God working through people would maybe seem logical if everyone was on the same page but that is not the case in the world. People personalize god then try to spread on their version of god.

it is because those are their marching orders....
Matthew 28:18-20
New International Version (NIV)
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

People then could make the claim that they themselves are disciples too but that is going out a limb of one's own self judgment.

There is a problem with the Matthew scripture. It is not defined in the context of talking to us, those words jesus spoke were to his disciples. People then could make the claim that they themselves are disciples too but that is going out a limb of one's own self judgment.

How does one know if there is a mutual agreement between the student and master?

This is not to argue whether god exists or not but to address those who feel it is their duty to speak for god. To me it is those who are seeking self value and thus undertake this duty as their responsibility because in reality a god would not need to have humans speak for him. Let god speak for himself, let him reveal himself instead of trying to convince people to see something universal as the way you see it.
