Im looking at buying a well made knife, preferablly a fixed blade with a serrated edge, but it doesnt have to be fixed. Really I just want a knife that will serve as a good weapon, and can also be used for other situations, like going camping. I'm not interested in a Chinese made knife, must be well crafted, very sharp, easy to sharpen, you get the picture. I previously owned a Rambo III knife, made by Gil Hibbens, But I never used it because it was in prestene quality with the box and certificate, just a collectors item.
Any suggestions on an all-around knife would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

I personaly am a fan of Benchmade products.

I have a tanto style blade with serrated towards the hilt, and I love the thing.

I am not really going to give a suggestion as to any specific knife but I will see if can give you more options than you could hope for. I see you are in the middle of the US, depending on where you are but if you are up for a road trip, take off to Pigeon Forge, TN. There they have the biggest knife store I have ever seen, I make special trips there just to peruse their wares. It is the Smoky Mountain Knife Works, if you cannot make it there, here is their site. I think you could find anything you could want there.

I own this knife. It is a GREAT knife. It's definitely not going to be an everyday carry knife but if you want a knife that makes a good weapon and will also handle any amount of punishment you can throw at it......this is your knife. I actually shopped around and I paid $109 for mine, including shipping.
