I just wanted to share this amazing, humbling and awe inspiring video in which a family of wild mountain gorillas take a stroll through a human camp and stop to caress, sniff and groom a fellow brother.

Enjoy…

Looks like they made a vacation to the petting zoo

"Lets go watch those stupid humans, look he has gray hair on his head, we have it on our back. Curious ugly animal with no hair"
I wonder if they felt the emotions of they guy sitting there. Watch for big daddy when he first stubs his child to move on. Absolutly amazing.

Incredible.

I don't know what I would have done if I was him, but I think I would have turned around and looked the silverback in the eyes and said hello.

Wow S&F

And FYI, had you done that, they would still be finding pieces of your skull.

S&F for gorilla kisses on the cheek!!!

You obviously know nothing about behaviours which communicate to primates that you would welcome a physical confrontation and are convinced of your own superiority.

So, please go get a buddy to film you while you stare an un-caged silverback in the eye. No, don't go educating yourself on how that'll pan out. Have some confidence in your convictions. He can post the link to the film here. There will be so much blood, we will need umbrellas just to watch it.

Awesome video.

I can just imagine the emotions raging through that guys head.
Fear, anticipation, excitement...the list is endless.
But sheer euphoria after they walk away.

The size of that silverback was tremendous!
He looked ferocious! The grunts he made would make me shudder.
What an experience that would be...

And for the poster who said they would stare the big brute in the eyes...
Apparently you know absolutely nothing of animal behavior and rank.
The alpha gorilla male does not take challenges lightly...
Any form of eye contact is a challenge.
Especially from another male animal.
That's why he sat right behind him.
TO be above all others.
Because that's his animal instinct.

If that guy made any sudden or wrong moves, the silverback may have felt threatened.
Thus, taking all his might to protect his family.

I am glad the guy in the video sat still and had his head down.
Apparently he knew how to behave during this encounter.
He did the right thing.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing, that's why I clicked on it.

Also, I think the guy two posts above yours has obviously not understood the joke in the post he quoted. Me personally, I only ever liked a few Gorillaz songs.
