Hi, quick question. If the solar system travels round the galaxy once every 200 million years or so, does this mean that if you travel away from the
gravitic draw of the sun, that you could be deposited in a random part of the galaxy and left behind as earth, the sun and the other planets race away
at speeds impossible to catch ?
Edit: Of Course, You could multiply this question up to a larger scale and ask if you left the Galaxy, would you be anable to return to it, dumped off
in a random part of the universe ? Unless you had the capability to catch it up ?
