There has probably been a thread on this already but I wanted to hear some other opions on this.
Apparently he is quitting because he has a lot of problems with his tinitus as I understod it.
And it seems like John B Wells is going to take over Ian's spot now.
I feel that while he has an awsome radio voice I still feel that that doesn't outweigh many of his other flaws.
Wells is too much "Alex Jones" in the sense that he is not just open to information but has an already made up mind about many aspects in the "conspiracy world". And I really had a problem with him when he was talking to L.A Marzulli. They just went on and on about Marzulli not talking about religion and "we are not in church".
But listening to that episode it sure felt like I was in church. Revelations this and that.
What I'm saying is is that I'm a little afraid that the Wells shows are going to be very religiously infused.

What I also always liked about Ian was that he always called people on their BS when some jerk called in and started ranting. And he always made sure that people who called in didn't take soooo looong time just babbling about and just told them to get to their point and stop preaching.

When I started listening to C2C I found Punnett's voice too nasal but now I have gotten used to it and I will miss his contribution to the show.

Maybe Art Bell will come out of retirment.

Too bad he is leaving the show, I really enjoyed his contributions to the show. At least we still have the enigmatic George Noory.

Wells' voice mixed with Noory's personality and Punnet's wit and you've got Art Bell.
Still fragments of what it could be should Art come back.

I can see Wells going up the ladder and reversing roles with Noory actually. This seems to me like a phase in/out.

I personally could not stand Punnett. He would always butt in while his guests were talking and trying to make a point. I know I am not the only one. Ive read many nasty comments about him doing this. When you don't give your guest a chance to speak thoroughly, why not just have no guest at all?

Ok it seems like all people can do is to hope that Art is comming back.
I must admit that I wasn't there listening when Art was running the show, although I have listened a lot to his stuff on the net, but there is no point in reminiscing about the good ol' days.
Now I wanted this to be about Wells.
And Wells switching with Noory? Yeah he has the voice for it but, as I said, he is way too fixed in his positions. I don't want C2C to become an Alex Jones Show copy. What I like about C2C is that it's like a forum for unorthodox ideas. Not a political show.

I haven't listened to C2C on Saturdays for a long time because of Ian Punnet. He's rude and arrogant. I am willing to give Wells a chance. Or he could get himself a music career. He could be the next Barry White.

Im an avid CTC listener and to be honest, Punnett was my least favorite host. George Knapp is my favorite and to be honest, this may sound sacrilegious to some, but I like Knapp better than Art Bell too.

John B Wells is excellent and he is actually an upgrade over Punnett IMO

So to me, its not a huge loss at all for the show and in the end, it could actually help it since Wells is an excellent host and he is a great speaker. Wells is also very open minded and he loves to discuss the ET hypothesis.

I used to cringe when I discovered Punnett was the host.

Noory, Knapp and Wells make a dynamic trio.

I just heard John b wells for the first time last night and I'm convinced it's really art bell using some kind of electronic device to alter his voice slightly. Same Timing, patterns, phrases, etc.

George Knapp is, hands down, the best host on Coast To Coast --even though-- I'm ticked at him for an email issue, and he really bombed recently, with this one disaster guest. Otherwise, Knapp rules!
I like John B. Wells, and I too could not stand Punnit. "It's like, yeah man."

I heard Wells covering for Alex Jones today (started listening about a year ago, now I always play the stream around 5pm GMT for background noise if nothing else). Daaaaaaaaamnnn he's got a great radio voice - when he began his intro, his tone and meter made me think they'd finally ditched Mike Adams and bought a voice machine to serve as stand-in
but then I realised it was a real person, and I think I spent all three hours paying attention. No idea how he fares on C2C as I don't/can't get streams of that, but I reckon it might be a bit dangerous for ratings having a hypnotic, sleepy voice like that on a late-night radio show

I love John Wells. Just keep Noory away from witchcraft and magician topics...Ian used go do those much better.

George is always "How bout that Chris Angel? "
