no, it's not shut. president barry promised when he was elected he'd shut down gitmo and try the detainee's in civilian court.
the republicans exploded. when they regained their senses the msm and the republicans put so much intense pressure on barry that if they redirected
their energies to warp drive development instead, we'd be on zeta reticuli by now.
it was mostly a self preservation issue. if they put them on trial in civilian courts a) all the evidence of torture would be on record. war
crimes and prosecutions would have to follow for the u.s. to hold any illusion of a democracy.
b) the majority would be released, because there is absolutely no evidence of them being terrorists, except being at the wrong place at the wrong
time.
c) some of them are actually al qaeda, there is just no evidence of any crimes. they'd have to be released.
nothing more frightening to tptb than watching al qaeda suspects walking out of new york courtrooms, smiling and waving behind high priced
lawyers.
