No Fear: Memory Adjustment Pills Get Pentagon Push

The Pentagon this week announced an $11 million grant doled out to three research institutions, all of them long-time hubs for the military’s ongoing PTSD investigations. Experts at Emory University, the University of Southern California and New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center will study the effectiveness of D-Cycloserine (DCS). DCS is a pharmaceutical thought to help extinguish fearful memories. It’s usually taken right before exposure therapy, a process that involves recalling traumatic experiences in an effort to nullify the menacing associations that accompany them.

This to me seems just like another way for the military to brainwash the troops into doing what they are told. A way to circumvent a soldiers conscience, so they will have no qualms about doing some of the atrocities they are made to do.

And whats to stop this being introduced to the public, say in a food or water source? That way the government can have its war for oil and resources, slip this drug to us, and hey...all is good because we don't remember/care about it.

My mind has just gone to the old Monty python sketch where the knight is trying to cross the bridge and is stopped and has to fight the protector of the bridge,chops arm off"its just a flesh wound" , i am sure you know the rest.

Take a young recruitand this will make him feel invincible, i can see it now this is not a good turn of events.I personally feel that we are more than just robots or pieces of meat for some elite to decide our fate. Our emotions are what make us what we are, why are we trying to control or remove them? this is madness.

Oh yeah this is perfect! Alzheimer 2.0 FTW! (extreme sarcasm) On a serious note, this is serious. I think in the wrong hands this could be deadly. But that's just me.

imagine a whole army on this garbage! none of the soldiers are afraid of anything. perfect killing machines.
