It could be part of a campaign to mislead people.

The monkeys mostly live in trees.

This separates them from the radiation on the ground.

Humans live mostly on the ground.

But if they point to this monkey study and show that the monkeys didn't receive so much radiation, some people will read that and feel better, like maybe things aren't so bad.

But to gauge human exposure, they really WOULD need to put dosimeters on humans, and see what exposure the humans really get on the ground. So, I'm a little suspicious of their motives.

And thank goodness some people actually read the story! Too many people just read the title and thought we were sending monkeys to their death. I'm glad some people finally posted they understood the monkeys aren't being sent anywhere...they are already there.

Yeah! There are wild monkeys everybody! They exist!
