So where is the British anger? Are you angry bulldogs or sissified tea drinking ninnies? Are you seriously letting the French belittle you? Someone finally stood up for your country, stood up against the EU machine, and now they want to say “sorry, sovereignty denied” and your response is what? *Crickets*

Not really known for getting angry, but if you get *crickets* start to worry, as it generally means there is nothing left to discuss.

I understand where you are coming from with your opinion BUT the reason some are pointing at German 'control' is because Germany has gained massively from the EU...

Your countries Industrial wealth has grown even with the inclusion of the East Germans in the 80's and the huge burden that put on your country.

By having a common EURO currency it has meant that you could sell German Quality products, whether cars, industrials, chemicals or whatever around the world at Greek prices........

We know that Greece and possibly other are F*** because they have been profligate with their spending and failed to get a grip on the true costs of their infrastructures and spending BUT this has helped Germany, ( and a little bit with the French).....

For a TRUE EU Currency to work then ALL Countries should have started equal........ equal interst rates, equal retirement ages, equal benefits and payments, equal salaries, equal costs of living, fuels bill etc etc etc it goes on ....... BUT what really happened is none of that..........

The costs of German production would be significantly higher than that of Greece or Spain BUT the EURO has covered those over UNTIL NOW where it is becoming VERY clear that this is all unstable unless ONE country leads the rest and CONTROLS the decisions of those countries.....

DO you really think that will happen ?? That the people of those Countries will let it happen ??

NO...... it will go only one way UNLESS the population is dumbed down too much already to even think for themselves......... we will see very soon.......

Britain is actually calling the EU out on this and those Fat Piggy EU beureacratics don't like it one bit !!!

This is what our politicians always say to us. BUT:

- Germany was the world´s top export nation before the Euro came into existance.
- Germany´s exports within the EU have dropped from 43% to 41% since we have the Euro
- we mainly export to China, the USA and other countries outside the EU
- with a weak currency our exports get cheaper, sure! But at the same time, imports from non-Euro-countries get more expensive. And our indrustry is heavily dependant on imports from outside the EU.
- poverty has risen since the introduction of the Euro
- politicians advertised the Euro with the argument that inflation would decrease - this has not been the case! In fact it has increased in recent years.
- other points that I can´t remember. Have to google the studies again...

But sorry everybody for hijacking the thread a bit! Now back to the thread´s topic!

For all countries sake, I hope and pray for the collapse of this EU dictatorship.
Doesn't matter whether you're from britain, germany, france or greece, all of your people are being shafted by these morons.
I hope it collapses so we can go back to how it used to be.
What an utterly ridiculous idea this was.

You see there in lies the problem, none of the member states should hold ANY power over other member states, that should be down to the soverign governments. Just because you lent the most money does not mean you can take over democratic decisions of other countries. This is where the EU stinks and this is why the UK should get out before Germany thinks it can tell the UK what home policies to have too.

OK, consensus: We ALL should get out of this EU mess! ;-)

And in way I´m with you on the point that no state should have the power to overrule an other state´s democratic decisions (is it REALLY a democracy any more??? - more like "democracy-like", at least in Germany). Maybe we just consider it as unfair that we pay so much money for other countries and not even getting the respect for it, but rather get critisized! We can´t even afford enough children day care and our schools and universities are such a mess, but yet we give billions to Greece and other countries. Pensions for old people have been raised by maybe 2% in the last 10 years, but then miraculously we have the money for others... And in the end, we get bashed by other nations :-(

CM23

If you and your country feel upset and not respected by other countries whom have recieved your generous funding in return for more control of their countries....can you not see why people dislike Germany and why the WHOLE European ideal of a centralised and controlled European block will NEVER work.....

I am not anti German......! Far from it, I visit Bavaria quite regulary and have several German friends BUT it is those in power, NOT the people whom don't ''get it''.........

A common EURO currency and closer european control of the union will take away National identities and upset lots of individual countries............... A Common fund for the benefit of society YES but NO to a European union run as it is by the Beaureucratic and 'detached' individuals who currently govern You....
