Star Trek connection to Syria?

OKay im putting this here but mods will prob move it to skunk works, but hear me out.
Does the president of Syria look like Odo from deep space nine or is it just me?
I tried to get a side by side up of the two but i can seem to get the pics up on here.
If someone could do that for me that would be great.
