Honestly I find it a bit much.

It seems like the OWS supporters respond to a post with 'Dear' more than most.

You know they say "Dear so and so" you didn't give me.........

You don't have to say 'Dear' when you respond to a post.

Just type your opinion.

I start all responses with "Dear", it is not an attack on any, it is not an argument, it is a salutation, it is a way of shaking hands when meeting someone, it is a request to have a civil conversation. It is old school and if it bothers you, ignore the salutation and focus on the issue. Be well and peace.

Then ignore my responses, they are what are and I am in my 50's, I can continue to talk and respond as I believe is correct. You also can respond as you will, you prefer to use profanity. Be well.

I never said anything about age, if you are 50 or 60 or 20 you know what you are.

I'm not sure how I fit into your classification, so I'll give you the facts and await your judgment on whether I'm acceptable.

When I respond to a post it is as you see, no salutation. But if someone responds to my post (and seems even halfway reasonable) from that point onward I will address him as "Dear" and close with "With respect."

I do that because the person has shown themselves to be someone speaking to me in an adult manner. That makes him an entity worth respecting and showing courtesy to. (Besides, every human is "dear" to God, who am I to argue?)

As an aside, I don't support OWS.

With all the rudeness and disrespect in the world, you would think seeing 'Dear' in a post would be nice. Lighten up OP. He was being respectful and a gentlemen.
