I would sure say that the incident with the British Embassy was about the most foolish thing imaginable. Prior to that, the British people were probably more than sufficient in being sick of war to keep the British Government from doing something stupid....like get involved in the coming war with Iran. Now though? It a point of pride and personal offense to the Prime Minister. Heck, the Queen is time eternal afterall. She was around and watching when 1979 happened. This might have made her angry on a personal level too. OOPS.

What the Iranian authorities allowed to happen, Iran owns. Whatever else may be happening, there are some times where stupid just isn't enough to describe an event.
