I have yet to understand the urge to call this - the Higgs boson - the "God" particle. The Higgs is theoretically responsible for the Higgs field,
which, again theoretically, is responsible for interacting with other particles to give them mass. Nothing about that screams "God" to me. In fact,
I bet God is rather unimpressed at our trivial use of his title.
My prediction of the findings: there is no convincing evidence of the Higgs' existence in the expected range of energies. This means that the Higgs
boson has a very small percent chance of existing at all. Anyone who's been paying attention knows this is what I've been saying would be the
conclusion all along. Now, we should have the experimental data to support my admittedly premature and all-but-uninformed conclusion.
