Jett: anyone for RocknRoll?

Every now and then I pay for Music.

I bought a CD today, Jett.
Title: Get Born

It was a nice surprise.
Some of that, "Guilty Pleasure" Rock n Roll!
It goes on my shelf next to AC/DC Back In Black.

13 Tracks
Like I said, some of it just Flat-Out Rocks.

A couple of Nice Ballads, Beatle-esqe in some respects, especially cut 4

Sure, there are the familiar repetitive Lyrics, chords, but sometimes, THATS
what we like, right?

The CD is a collection of songs, all original recipes, but with a dash of some familiar spices.. Notably AC/DC, The Beatles, The Stones..

Makes a Tasty Soup..

If you haven't noticed, this is a recommendation...

Ive tried to get my girl into these guys, but she wont budge and she LOVES ac/dc. Track 4 is awesome. Youve made a fool of everyone! love it. They go so many different places. I hear ac/dc, black crowes, pink floyd, even some stones. These guys are good. I hope they live up to there potential.

I've only had the CD for a day, at this point..

LOL, yep, I played it for My wife, who's an AC/DC fan as well...
Not much of a reaction..But I made her listen to it.

Of course, a lot of people like to find music "on their own".
Rather than by recommendation, have you ever noticed that?

Jet = Aussie schmaltz, named for the Paul McCartney & Wings song off Band On The Run and not Joan Jett.

Some musical associates of mine think they owe too much to You Am I.

It is very Beatley and thats a great thing but there is a massive hint of Oasis on one song i cant remember the title but when it was on in the car i thought it was a new Oasis song. Thumbs Up

The last time i saw jet , she was on her knees , licking a block of ice .................... she does play a mean gutiar tho < she rocks :w:

Move On is my favorite track. So very sad.....

I personally think Jet should be paying royalties to for forgery. I mean, come on, "Are You Gonna Be my Girl" is Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life."

Jet are great! A friend of mine had the album a while ago before they had anything in the charts, it's superb stuff. I think their sound owes a lot to the Stones, and - on the slower songs - white album era Beatles.
Has anyone seen them play live? Any good?
