Sacramento County coroner says cause of in-custody death 'undetermined'

I am not attempting to champion the cause for criminals but last month in my county, a man who seemingly was fine died in police custody.
The man in question was accused of shooting a local school police officer, then just died in custody.
Now the county coroner just can't figure it out but when asked, The county coroner said...

"Was he killed by the police? No, and that's what's important," she said.

Like I said, I am not championing the accused but, police seem to be getting out of hand as of late.
I just hope if I were to ever end up dead in police custody, someone other than those accused would do the investigation.
Maybe another county or better yet a multiple county panel.
But from past experience I understand how things work in our sleepy lil town, nothing bad on my part though.
