Why is it called the boob-tube anyway?

Wtf? Why in the hell do they call TV the "boob tube"? You never see any boobs on TV... The FCC makes sure of that. I think it's a stupid/old nickname that should be done away with. Either that, or the FCC should be done away with.

Speaking of which, who else feels it's unconstitutional what the FCC does? Their censorship is extreme. The FCC violates the first amendment.

I dont know what you have been watching but i have seen boobs on tv... lol and possibly called the boob tube cos there is tubes in there isnt there?

I don't know if you were joking or not as to the reason it is called a boob tube, but here it is:

If you remove the tube from the set and look at the end of it forming the electron gun, the tube (from the back) resembles a large glass tit with a long protruding nipple.

get outta here! i hear it called that quite often. i don't know what is wrong with everyone else's tv, but their are plenty boobs on my tv. i also have enough porn to sink a battleship though
