It will be interesting to hear whether the victims will still pursue legal action after he drops out. Maybe they'll feel vindicated after he does?

What victims? This is just character assination by the left leaning MSM. Produce any proof that Cain acted in violation of the law and I'll see it differently, but, if there was any proof we would have already seen it. Let's face it the MSM has to cover their boy Obama. If Cain would be the Republican candidate, Obama's would lose his favorite card, the race card.

There, i changed it to "alleged victims", happy? The MSM didn't assassinate Cain's character, Cain assassinated his own character. It takes a lot of it to become the POTUS, although some people do slip in with a less than desirable amount. It's not like this is the first time a presidental candidate was put up to that kind of scurtiny. He should have prepared better for the possibility of it coming up. His amount of preparation amounted to this,"I don't remember that lady, OH WAIT, I do remember that lady" It's not a big deal, he may not have enough character to be the POTUS but he's got enough to run a pizza joint and work on the Federal Reserve Board, so I wouldn't feel too bad for him.

What I find incredible is that there are some O-bots on the left who are nailing Cain, even though there is no evidence to support the allegations, and yet those same people make excuse after excuse for Obama even though Obama's been caught in lie after lie. It's very perplexing.

What's perplexing to me is how Cain is handling the accusations, which is very poorly. The perfect place for him to address it would be during the debates. If I was him, I would have sternly and tersely stated that there was no evidence for their accusations and they were just trying to dislodge his campaign. If you're going to be the president of the US, and your credibility is on the line, you don't shy away from the problem. Why didn't he take it more seriously? If it is a lie, he can sue them for defamation of character, like Justin Bieber is doing to his alleged baby's momma. I bet the reason why he hasn't been so forthcoming to the allegations is because he really doesn't remember it that well, which then asks the question, how many liaisons did he actually have? Even if he didn't do anything illegal, America doesn't want a POTUS that is also a player pimp-daddy. Bottom line, is that his weak approach to it makes him look very bad.

I am guessing his wife said "Herman, admit your infidelity publicly, withdraw your name from candidacy and come home or I will divorce you and it will cost you tens of millions."

Even if all of the accusers are telling the truth, I don't think Cain has done nearly as much wrong as Clinton did, and he was able to get the nomination after everything from his past came out.

I do NOT think Cain has handled it particularly well, but I also think that is partially because is isn't a suave politician, which is what drew me to him initially (the fact that he isn't able to "spin" everything).

We just need to face it. We're in big trouble. We have a brilliant, yet, ineffective president currently in office. We have a very, very poor selection of candidates campaigning from the other party. We are in a lose-lose situation.

In regards to Cain, he's an idiot. Here is a man who sits and thinks up silly songs to sing about food. Is that really someone you want representing your country? Not me.

You beat me to it. Cain is not a polished politician.

You would think the womanizing part of Herman Cain would draw Democrat voters. Maybe he should just switch his party to a D and he could have the endorsements of Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner, John Edwards.

It wouldn't work. If Cain turned Democrat, all of the accusations would be proven false in an instant. Then he'd be accused of being a poser and lose all credability with the Dems.

You mean like we did with John Edwards? Anthony Weiner?

Get real. Regardless of the letter next to his name, he'd have been treated exactly the same.

With Edwards and Weiner there was actual evidence.

For sure. In fact, that's an understatement.

Justin Bieber

Oh gosh .. don't get me started on that lil' guy.

So why is it that when Obama gets outted with accusations that have proof to back them up - the left screams their (overused) battlecries of 'racism' and 'haters'. But when Cain gets hit with accusations and no proof ... the left automatically jumps to him being guilty and the accusers are 'victims'??? hmmmmm. Double standard.

right...

www.ajc.com...

But White produced copies of cellphone bills that showed more than 60 phone calls or text messages from his number. A Fox 5 reporter was shown on the broadcast sending a text message to the number from White’s bill. Someone identified as Cain returned the call and spoke briefly to the reporter. White also produced copies of two of Cain’s books that included personal inscriptions.

Cain told the station White had his number “because he was trying to help her financially.”

"Where there's smoke, there's fire"

I'm sure we'll know more in the next news cycle...

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Maybe Palin will run now.

(awaiting liberal frothing)

I think Herman Cain will stick around for a VP slot.

We won't see Gov. Sarah Palin until Hillary Clinton takes over the race for the dems in
January 2012.

Eric Holder and Obama will be surrounded by illegalities and very poor polling data.
Chris Matthews has already turned on him.
It's easy to see where this is going.

BTW, Mitt Romney had a very bad interview with Fox News Bret Bair.
Romney looked very unpresidential and rattled.

I understand Ginger White produced proof with voice mails and text messages, over 60 of them?

I think this is perfect for Herman Cain if he justwanted to follow in Palin's footsteps, gathering a large crowd of supporters so he can be a political celebrity in his own right, selling books and invited on major television networks as political commentators.

Give me an example of how you think Cain was stood strong on these claims, when you bring an example forth, I'll admit that I was wrong.

Outted? Are you saying Obama has been accused of being a homosexual? Anyways, you make it sound like the Democrats are somehow more impervious to accusations than the Republicans, you should get rid of that mindset because, in reality, both groups have enormous amount of ways they can dodge the bullet. It's an old talking point. It's not racist to hate Obama, anyone that says so is an idiot, and probably a bigot themselves. I mentioned Justin Bieber because it's topical and he got the same problem, except I think he's been more strong than Cain has been defending himself. If he was weak, then it would imply that he wasn't telling the truth.

If you were looking forward to voting for Cain, I'm sorry, because it looks like you'll have to find another mack-daddy to vote for.

This means he's dropping out.
999 was just a sales pitch and a disaster...people fell for it.
I think most people on ATS know more about foreign policy than he does.
I don't think just because the guy can't keep it in his pants, this would make him a bad President.
It's the way he allegedly harassed these women and now the 13 years of cheating while telling your Wife you love her that has people turned off. As well as the way he handled it.

Maybe near the end of January, 2013/early Feb 2013, Newt can nominate Cain as Secretary of Pepperoni or Chief of Stuffed Crust. These alegations merely finalize the destruction of what was already a flash in the pan candidacy in massive decline.
