LOL yes because in the class they will go into graphic detail about dong it in the butt and scissoring.....homosexuality is more than sex. I mean im sure when teachers discuss the nuclear family they dont go into detail about moms button and dads pole. Some people.....

Sure, homosexuals exist. Good for them. That is all well and great.
I have no problem with homosexuals or other kinds of life style choices, but how about we focus on the curriculum that we already have and are failing miserably at.
In a country where we are falling WAY behind in the maths and sciences... I'd say these schools priorities are not in order.
Many schools in this nation can not even teach well enough. It is so bad that we have lowered our standards of learning and are falling behind in the world in the core studies.

What makes anyone think that our schools can teach about homosexuality and not fail at it like they have many other subjects?
Hm?

Maybe school should have a class outright dedicated to tolerance, that way we can pander to all the discriminated-against folk all at once, rather than trying to sneak in subtle hints throughout the rest of the curriculum. I should probably sign up for said class due to I'm getting incrementally less and less tolerant of all the whining they do.

Not the responsibility of the school or Govt.
It is the choice of the parents.

I am SOOOOO glad I don't live in Kommiefornia.

This is the reverse of an ad hominem argument. For those that do not know, that is when you try to refute someones logic by attacking their character, thus confusing the issue of whether they are right with their moral character.

Here we have someone trying to do the same thing in reverse. Trying to confuse whether someone is doing something morally right with a good deed they have done.

What if I desire to teach my child to love every one, but that homosexuality is wrong as a lifestyle. Here comes California forcing propaganda on my child without my ability to stop them. I think we can all agree forced propaganda is not a good thing.

States rights!
No more federal interference!

Oh, it is "kommiefornia" and something I find icky?
That is different. They should not have the right to do that.

Let the police search your property whenever they want without cause, what do you have to be afraid of? Maybe abuse of power, and government forcing its wishes on the people rather than the people forcing its wishes on the government is what we should fear. When you give government power it should not have to promote an agenda you believe in do not be surprised when that decision comes back to haunt you.

This is not "The birds and the bees" If you say a man and a woman are together, at no point have you told them how they have to have sex.

Do you know what this is? Relief that the future generation might actually understand gays, lesbians, and transgendered because it is shockingly apparent that bigotry has reigned supreme for far too long.

All topics are going to be taught, this is not going to be a separate class for homosexual studies.. This is simply including homosexuals and transgendered people in already existing material.

Which makes your argument sort of weak.

How does your posting relate to mine? I don't see the relevance.
My posting: Let your children learn, maybe you are afraid that they leard different things than you want to know, but you wont be able to "protect" them their live long - I hope..
Your posting: BE AFRAID OF THE GOVERNMENT, IT WILL EAT YOUR SOUL!!!

Really?
Don't you think that you are at least a little exaggerating?

It doesn't matter if the material is separate or included when the way in which our school system currently is fails at what it is supposed to do, which is teach.
Even if the material is included in already existing material the education system in America is still falling way behind.
It is our education system that is weak.

edit to add: It is quality I am worried about and the quality that exists now is not looking so great.
