To start off I have two kids, a 9 yr old daughter and a 2 yr old son. My daughter was out of town and my son was sleeping next to me on the couch.

I woke up around 6:30am ad knew my daughter wasnt at home and saw my son sleeping. Then I started freaking out and wondering where the baby was. I got up and walked through the house looking for him, nothing on the first floor. Went upstairs and checked mine and the wife's room, didn't see him. So I really started getting worried. Figured I would call out his name and see if I could hear something, but couldnt remember his name . So started walking around on the second floor and made it half way across the hall before realizing we don't have another baby.

I've been trying to figure this thing out all day. Any help with figuring it out would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

Strange, I got a sense of deja vu while reading that.

It could be number of things, IMHO, a past life memory, a "knowing" of things yet to come, or you dropped into someone else's life during your sleep and woke up not remembering your life.

All these things have happened to me.

If you just woke up then the obvious answer is that you hadn't woken up fully, that part of your brain was still dreaming.

Sometimes in a dream, I will go shoe shopping or for some other item, you name it........and THEN in waking life I try and find the new pair of shoes and tear my closet all up in frustration, go through the WHOLE house and car looking for the new shoes.........and it takes quite a while to realize it was only a dream that seemed so REAL I just incorporated it into my world as a stone cold fact.
I think your just dreaming about having this other baby, and so in your waking life your looking for this kid, as if it was here..............COULD be its time for another kid?
Could also be you are unable to ever have another kid for some reason or another, and this NEVER happens, but it doesn't stop you from dreaming about it. It does NOT mean that your 'just meant to have another child no matter what'

I have also found in dreams, I will often dream as if I were another me, in another dimension.........(these dreams are more of OOBE experiences).....and this other aspect of myself might have more kids than I do, and once awake I miss that 'other' family...........
I am thinking what your experiencing is allot more akin to my dreams about buying shoes.....they just SEEM so REAL that we go around 'searching' for this dream thing.......in frustration......and its kinda funny.

Have had many a dream like that, involving people. However, Once I was dreaming I had a newspaper in my hand & just as I was getting ready to slam it down on this massive spider to kill it, in real life, I literally jumped out of my bed & flew over the side
...Woke the hubs up, he was at first concerned that I killed myself, then when he realized I was fine, started yelling at me because at that time, my 2 older children would come and sneak in & sleep on the floor on that side of the bed if they were scared..
...He was afraid I would hurt the children if that happened again.....Funny thing is, I HATE & am deathly afraid of spiders....Your dream sounds interesting. I wish you could have remembered the name of the child you wanted to call out to.

I didn't hear you say you dreamed about a baby before waking? I didn't hear you say that you have ever had episodes sleep walking or trouble waking fully? So I am (assuming) you are an average healthy person?

So the next question is have you ever lost a baby in vitro for any reason, ever?

Perhaps the 9 year old daughter is using Jedi Mind tricks on you.
You never know. The seem to be turning to the dark side
younger and younger these days.

David Grouchy

Jedi: Stand here
Darth: If you won't turn to the dark side (walks forward)
Jedi: yes?
Darth: (points to Sariah) perhaps _she_ will.
Jedi: I don't think so (turns to Sariah) Activate!

Sariah: [inaudible]
Jedi: What's that? (leans in closer to Sariah)
Jedi: (recoils in surprise) You, you co, you will? Well, oh, ok, well activate...
Sariah: (goes to one knee, demurly bows head to vader)
Jedi: oh, no, no, nevermind deer

Croud: erupts in laughter and jeers

Jedi: so you don't want to fight Darth Vader.
Sariah: shakes head
Jedi: so you wana join Darth Vader.
Sariah: nods head
Jedi: (puts arm around Sariah) Ok. Let me show you where the Sith Academy is.... It's right down this way.

Croud laughs.

Sariah and Jedi: Exit stage left.

Sorry, but I do not remember what I was dreaming about, I was just worried about finding the baby. I have had a couple experiences with sleep paralysis but that was years ago. As far as I know I have never had a issue with sleep walking. There was a miscarriage about 6 years ago.

Bingo...

I have heard some women relate that they have met their unborn children in dreams and they sometimes talk or hug, etc., like a visit or something? It might happen again, try to focus on it before sleeping. And lay still upon waking for a little while to allow any dreams to surface. It "seemed so real" to you probably because it was.

Thats cool. Nothing wrong there. Take comfort from that you were visited by your "other" child.

Wow i have both of those sensations quite often! Especially the latter about being yourself in another dimension. Those are usually my most interesting dreams

I this is most likely right. A womans connection with her children is something very deep and profound. And we often relate to them on a very intuitive, subconscious, and emotional level.

I can understand woman's connection with a child that was lost due to a miscarriage. Sure it's a possibility that a guy could have the same connection. Thanks for the all the replies! Very interesting event, not sure if I want it to happen again. Scared the hell out of me!

It's really funny you say that just now. My 15-year-old daughter (my youngest) just last night told me that she feels like there's a family member missing, like someone should be there but isn't. I have a 22-year-old son and a 21-year-old daughter and we all live under the same roof. She's never said anything like that before, and there was no other child who could have been after her. No pregnancy after her.

I wonder if souls who were perhaps "promised" life but weren't given it due to our focus on all the stupid things we create as priorities during our lives are perhaps making their presence known nonetheless. I had always felt that I should have two children more - one between my daughters and one afterward. My marriage just wouldn't bear it.

We make a lot of wrong choices in our lives. I wonder what will be shown next? They say we live in interesting times and that much will be revealed very soon. I wonder if this is a small taste of what is to come. Our awareness is definitely changing.

Sounds as if another child will soon be in your future.

Besides being the Universe's "engine of life". The magic of the womb has got to be one of the greatest creations. And how closer can two be than mother and baby? Than to share one life together from the beginning? Women rule.
