What do you mean "you people"? ...I am Canadian by right of birth abroad, grew up and was educated in Canada and remain dazzled by the CBC.

I always have been proud of Canada's tolerant neutrality and peacekeeping efforts, although I do recognize she has her fair share of provincial reactionaries.

elections in canada are like surprise pop quizzes. no one knows when it's going to be, how long it will be and no body knows who's going to be on the test.

I have a message for Prime Minister Harper:

I know that you're probably reading this, and if not yourself than probably one of your CSIS goons. I would just like to take this opportunity to state that the common Canadian citizen thinks you're an arrogant ass. Canada does not support hostilities against Iran; you and your economic elite do, and I doubt that you guys will be anywhere near the front lines doing the actual fighting while you send our soldiers to die for you.

So well said, thank you. I refer to him as an arrogant ass all the time. He seems to like war, that one. Very unCanadian of him.

Mr. Harper is doing exactly what the majority of Canadians would do. I am sure glad We have Harper, and not a Muslim pretending to be Christian.

Just Great!

Now I'm ashamed to be Canadian. I always knew Harper was kissing those Obama Butt Cheeks and this proves it. First the NAU and now this.

Time to think about the Xpat movement.

Peace

I do not agree with this in the least.
As a Canadian, i refuse to let my country go to war again.
And i'll make damn sure everyone knows it too,

I will go door to door signing petitions to stop any action against iran. If i turn on the news and hear that, im going to lose my damn mind..

I think i have finally hit that point, where our government needs to listen to US. Why the hell can he make a decision to interfere with another country? Without the people's permission?

I do not think i am alone with these feelings, if we go to war with iran along with the united states, people are going to lose their cool, thousands and thousands will take to the streets.

If not millions. Iran has a right to power their country with whatever means they want to, just like any nation should be able to do. This holier than thou mentality of our globalist governments is getting to me, down to the core.

So a country that has little regard for human life should be able to power their country with a reactor that can unnecessarily create nuclear weapons, and refuse any oversight, or deals that would allow the energy and only disallow the leftover materials that can be weaponized, and the rest of the world needs to simply "take" it?

If Harper wants to defend anyone , he better be prepared to take up arms himself and get on that front line also . Time to actually get your hands dirty and mess up that pretty hair do with a helmet on .

Harper is nothing more than a puppet looking to get a pat on his head by his masters (US)

I can't believe this guy is running our country.

Lets face it, if the US goes to war with Iran, its going to be the kick off of WW3 with Russia, China and N. Korea backing the Iranians.

Why can't we ever get a Prime Minister with a set of balls to say NO to the US once and for all

World wat three is inevitable but i assure you that i will be one of the first men on the front lines, it may not be that we are necissarly fo
ighting for the freedom of our country but rather for the safety of irans neigjboring countries, and to all of you who say we wont go to war, or you will sign petitions etc. don't waste your time, as a frontline infantry soldier i can tell you we are allready going to be sending our first waves of troops to iran within the next two months, rather than hate us , support us because we are intervening in something that could very well cost you all of your lives if something isnt done to prevent it

I'd like to make it clear to anyone who is confused. Most of us DO NOT APPROVE OF MURDER. I suspect many of us wonder at night just when and where we draw the line. We of course want a leader, we all know how that goes. I submit these brutal monsters who willing slaughter any they choose do not reflect the populace. Most of us are not pedophiles (like Kissinger, and how disgusting that he is still alive).

Red or blue? Can't remember which pill did what but it seems you took the wrong one. It seems to me that as long as there are those who believe as you do, then we will never get off this treadmill. I don't think for ten seconds an attack on Iran will be imposed to protect the safety of Its neighbors...Oh that will be the spin alright, you can bet a Rothschilds bank on that!

Hello?
I am a Zionist Canadian and proud to support Harper who supports Israel. That is the democratic Israel who resists the local squatter bombers like the Palestinians and especially Iran whose chief nutcase has stated he will fry Israel as soon as they get the bomb to do it. And such will affect us all as the western oil moves through that area.
No one here seems to recall that crazy mantra that he repeats as he thinks it will precipitate the return of his 'messiah'! lol . Iran is bankrolling middle east terrorist activities continually along with her bed buddies of hatred.
In Canada , in the Us and in Israel you can post your view about this subject- dont try it in despotic Iran my friend.
I believe in Gods word as stated in the Bible and support Israel . That makes me a Zionist because I have the faith to believe what God says about our world and His love for the little Nation of Israel and especially her capital- Jerusalem.
I am glad Harper supports Israel as Canada will be blessed by God Almighty as He states in the Bible in Genesis 12:3
Bless the Jews- be blessed.
Curse the Jews- be cursed.
If Harper really wanted to put Canada on the map all he has to do is move our Embassy to Jerusalem the Capital instead of hiding out with the other conciliatory national beachniks in Tell Aviv lol.
There is sure a lot of brainless Israel bashing posted here- they should get educated about the truth and stop parroting stupid lies because their controversy is with God- believe me, it will not pay.

IS THAT SO?

Perhaps you should actually do some research on Harper's past. Start with the fact that his father was a CEO of a major commerce company. Don't forget to look up his role and leadership of the National Citizens Coalition. The fact that he is a Bilderberg Group associate. The fact that he is nothing more than a modern Brian Mulroney- a great friend to the economic elite and all too happy to deregulate public ownership and cut back on social programs because he's afraid of "socialism". Oh, and he also said, plain as day, that he puts Israel ahead of Canada.

Yeah, the guy who has fortified the major disconnect between the Canadian population and our own government, is clearly representative of our opinion. Great assessment

soficrow-
I always have been proud of Canada's tolerant neutrality and peacekeeping efforts, although I do recognize she has her fair share of provincial reactionaries.

The whole point of confederation in 1867 was to instate centralized, representative government for all Canadians. When our very foundations have given way to neo-liberalism intensifying our own national class war, what can you expect from the intelligensia of our glorious provinces?

Harper will do what Harper feels is going to benefit himself the most! He doesn't give a damn what Canadians want and never has! Several years ago, an investigation was launched into the large sums of cash that were being dropped off at the office of Brian Mulroney at the same time as discussions concerning the North American Free Trade Agreement were taking place. Mulroney who was Prime Minister at the time signed it, causing many companies to move south, and putting thousands of Canadians out of work at the same time. Now nobody loves an inquiry more than Canadian politicians, but the investigation into Mulroney's financial dealings were not long under way when Prime Minister Harper put an end to them, saying that the cost of the inquiry would be too much of a burden on the Canadian taxpayer! Yeh, right!
