Why not just ban the chemicals?
I dont see why the issue needs to be any more complicated then that.
It doesnt make them completley healthy but it would be a huge percentage better.
Anyway, just pointing it out because I think the fact that people never realise this obvious solution proves that people are brainwashed to not look at the big picture.

Yeah I know. But dont you think its testament to the power of brainwashing that people dont realise it

Not that I am brainwashed, I joined the military picked up smoking because everyone I knew in my unit did it so now I do, and like Amon said above population control which is why cigarettes are legal and herb isn't...

Im not saying that your brainwashed for smoking, im saying people are brainwashed for not wanting the chemicals removed. I enjoy smoking as well but I dont enjoy chemicals.

That was always my logic too. Just ban the chemicals. Let people smoke just natural tobacco. The fact that they don't do that is a HUGE conspiracy.

They want us to smoke, to die, to be unhealthy. In the UK it makes even less sense because they then complain how much it costs the NHS. Well, just remove the harmful chemicals, formaldehyde, arsenic etc then.

Seems to be too logical a solution.

Me, i now smoke an electronic cigarette. It rules. I can smoke as much as i want, no worries. Then when i need some herb, i've got a tobacco free substitute called Honeyblend.

More poeple need to wise up and realise that these days you don't have to smoke tobacco to smoke

theres a couple companies here that make them without all the chemicals in them.

Oddly enough they've got banned in a few western countries in recent years from what friends over there tell me.

Suspect they got banned because the manufacturer refuses to add the chemicals... plus they're much cheaper than western cigarrettes price per pack..

Exactly, it goes hand in hand with the suppression of free energy, cures for diseases, and other things of the sort.

Perfect example are E-Cigs. They deliver nicotine efficiently, sate the subconscious urge to do something with your hands, and don't cause cancer. Yet the FDA is trying to get them banned because they say they really pose a 'health risk'. Yeah, whatever. Ever since I've been using mine and not smoking tobacco I've never felt better and my lung capacity (& general well being) improves daily...

It is ceaselessly amazing to me how people walk by smokers and cough and gag and make comments. Meanwhile, motorcars are spewing out more deadly carcinogenic emissions in one minute than a whole pack of cigarettes. The motorcars are ubiquitous. Just because people can see some blue smoke and smell something they find unpleasant they make a big fuss, but the invisible gasses killing causes them no concern. It's really incredible how superficial the populace is in their knowledge and reactions.

I have to agree about all the bizarre chemicals they put in "tobacco". They dip that stuff in a radioactive soup of deadly chemicals, constantly espouse the dangers of cigarettes, but meanwhile keeps them available on every street corner.

There's something in the chemicals that increase your metabolism. It's not the nicotine. I quit a few months ago and instantly gained 10 lbs without eating more, if anything I ate less as I couldn't smoke afterwards. I used a nicotine patch and still hit the e-cig from time to time so it for sure isn't the nicotine. What the heck is it?

Like the above poster said, yeah more money for someone: I'm now at the gym 3 hrs a day, 6 days a week. That's awesome I think but my doctor advised me this week that I won't get rid of the weight that way. Huh? Made me consider going back to smoking for just a second.

Meh, what I'm doing now has got to be better then what I was doing before. On topic: What the heck are they putting in those smokes?!!!

I definitely agree that people should smoke as naturally as possible if they are GOING to smoke (I like natural American Spirit cigarettes myself, when I can get somewhere that actually has them in stock), but the cigarettes with still be PLENTY bad without the rest - nicotine is a natural pesticide and lethal to humans in (tiny) large enough amounts, tobacco itself naturally absorbs (small amounts of) polonium, and there's likely a good bit still in there naturally otherwise.

Going all-natural means your smokes will get stale quicker (some of these ingredients are preservatives) as well as have some other effects. Definitely not enough to chase me off the natural course, but going natural also doesn't mean I won't still be gambling almost every bit as much with my health, honestly.

Now, if you were to vaporize your tobacco...that might be worth looking into.

I love smoking. Love it. No preference of what kind of leaf. The act itself, I just really enjoy.

Now, I only smoke cigs when I am out of herb and I am desperate. Even then I can only have one and I have to stop. I can't do any more than that. Recently, they are not the same. I don't know if they added something else, but whatever it is makes me feel like crap. So I try to not do it so much anymore... I always forget about American Spirits though, I'll hopefully remember those next time I am jonesing.

I don't understand the world, I really don't. In my mind, the LOGICAL choice would be to remove all of the unneeded chemicals, but really why are they there in the first place? My brain just does not grasp the money over people concept. IMO, if we didn't have so many "health" issues to spend money on, consumerism would flourish. Instead, TPTB has decided to take the dirty road and bleed us dry. At least I know I am of a much different breed, and I take pride in my empathic ways.

Ganja is not legal because it's proven to have positive health effects. They don't want us happy, they don't want us healthy... God's gift to man, it is. And what I love is that it

Personally, I have athsma and I should not smoke whatsoever, and when I do daily I feel the effects. However, I haven't toked in about 4 days now, and my lung issues already have gone away. I reallyreally suspect it's the amount of butane/propane/whatever im inhaling when using a lighter on a onehitter umpteen times a day, causing my problems rather than the herb itself. If I could vaporize or AFFORD ENOUGH to eat
I would not have to worry about it.

Everyone I know smokes something. I am of the D.A.R.E. generation. A proven failure. Let's teach the kids the truth about things. If they knew the truth they would make better decisions, rather than "HEY, dare said this was going to kill me! AND IM NOT DEAD?? LETS TRY CRACK!!" (obviuosly exaggerated, but you get the point) That is what they taught me in school. I have an essay I wrote at age 10, I literally thought if I "did" herb I would drop dead instantly. I thought drugs were thick pieces of yarn in baggies (drugs=rugs like the things that hang off the edges). I didn't even know what they were or how to do them. Such a terrible terrible program.

But here's a lovely song which this topic made me think of:
