Boom, it happened again.

Residents at the Oceanfront reported hearing a strange explosion around 9 p.m. Wednesday that rattled windows, shook foundations and startled babies out of their sleep.

It was the second time this year coastal residents have flooded emergency lines and online social networking sites after hearing and feeling ... well, something.

As with a previous mystery disturbance in May, nobody seems to know what happened, yet theories abound.

It wasn't another earthquake like the one that shook the East Coast in August, according to geologists. A NASA scientist said it could have been caused by a meteor crashing through the atmosphere, but there's no way of knowing without photographic proof. And military officials said don't blame them.

Oceana Naval Air Station spokeswoman Kelly Sterling felt and heard the boom at her home in Virginia Beach but said in an email it had nothing to do with jet noise or off-shore military exercises.

Hmm, another mystery noise...

I have posted about these so much that there is really nothing more to say than 'what the hell is going on?'

Interesting that there is a Naval Air Station spokeswoman saying it had nothing to do with jet noise or military though.

Any thoughts?

Pred...

I remember a mystery rumble thread from OK maybe a week or so before the earthquake there. Now IDK where the person who heard the rumble lives in relation to where the earthquakes were centered. Just a personal theory of mine, I don't have alot of knowledge in this area, but I do know as long as people reported earthquake lights, it's only been fairly recent since they were scientifically confirmed...All I know to do is watch and wait to see if something happens.

It's the space wars going on. The elenin threads made us all glue our eyes to the computer and the chemtrails made us all blind to the universe.

Ok I have no idea what these noises are I'm just bored and creative.

The same booms and rattles have been happening 150 miles north , also on the coast, in Ocean City, MD for 5 weeks or more.

Our local news station reported they contacted ALL agencies and no one knows what it is .

They are no longer reporting it on the news but when the sounds or rattling are heard , people do post it on the news station Facebook.

I wish we could get some answers.

Do you think the sounds in OC could be related to the dredging/beach replenishment going on in South Bethany? Currently dredging
They may be pulling up more old Navy ordnance; that is then being disposed of. I remember that going on a few years back. They even found an unexploded anti-aircraft shell at Dewey beach and rockets at Assateague. Source

There is no Aurora, There is however something similar using ion pulse jet technology. Aurora was a dis-info project. Check out my introduction post and you will see why I know what I know.

Hi neighbor. I felt this in Hampton on Weds night and again on Fri morning around 6:47AM ( I was watching the time because we have a teenager who needs to be dragged out of bed lol ) I didnt hear anything but felt a low vibration. At first I was not even sure I was feeling anything but my cat who was sitting on the bed reacted to it too. When we had the earthquake I felt a vibration very much the same but more pronounced.

No , I don't think it is dredging because that has been going on for years in that area .

Our local news contacted our senators and congressman and they said they did not know what was causing the booms and shaking either.

It's a mystery.

Well isn't there a place where two of the tectonic plates meet out in the Atlantic? Maybe they slid a bit?
I have to wonder since these odd booms do go back a bit in history and are reported up and down the east coast.

Tonight I saw a meteor whiz overhead moving toward the west here in Norfolk but there was no noise associated with it at all. I was on the phone when I saw it and told the person on the other end "Oh! a Leonid!" and just went on about normal conversation..I have seen quite a few meteors this year and its almost becoming normal. I do try and listen out just in case there is a boom after I see one..However, I cannot recall if I heard this boom the OP speaks of or not but I suppose I likely did and forgot about it..
