I heard a movie once
A line spoke so sweet
It said that power lies
Between rage and serenity
And now your looking
But you don't see the half of me
My power grows from the things
That you've done to me
I don't expect that you'll ever understand
You think you have the world in the palm of your hand
You think you've got the upperhand, and yes it's true
But I can turn my weakness into power over you
I see the way you move
The actions that you take
You think you're being suave
I know you're being fake
You have no real idea
Of the nature this life
You get your kicks by instigating
Misery and strife
I don't expect that you're ever gonna see
The kind of misery that you're trying to bring to me
You think the way to win is through guided destruction
It's time for you to get a little instruction
I am not the kind
To give you any thrills
My heart is barricaded by
A parapet of steel
The feelings you love
To manipulate and strike
Are locked away in safety
Leaving me as cold ice
My walls are strong
Friends and family inside
This place is nice
Everyone gets on alright
But if try to bring
Some evil through my doors
Then you'll learn the meaning
Of a sempiternal horde.
I don't expect that you're ever going grow
Beyond this greedy, arrogant existence that you know
You think you're winning, you've you got us in your sites
But we will leave you wheezing while we leave you far behind
