Now, I watched this video as my friend sent it to me, and it's supposed to be funny, but, it's not.

This is the media we rely on for our news. If you didn't think that our media just repeats itself over and over again, well this should be quite the show.

It is amazing that all of those networks used the exact same line, no variance, the EXACT same line.

Now if this doesn't get you upset and show all of our media is basically one entity, then I don't know what will.

I guess it is kind of funny in a way, but not for the people that don't realize it.

Any thoughts?

You should ask your friend if he's on ATS, this same video was posted here last week.

Thanks for your input and providing a link to the other thread. I looked but I could not find anything.

Good way to start with ATS there.

Sorry, here's the link, just type "Conan" in search and it's the first one. I haven't posted my intro yet but I've been on the site for almost a year, but I created an account only weeks ago.

Wow, you're right, it isn't funny. I mean what century is this? How is this "pushing the envelope" in any way shape or form? They act as if gay marriage is subversive or edgy in some form. Good on Conan for doing right by his employees, though in some way he has to be loving all the publicity as well. Pretty sad day and age when simply supporting equality is "pushing the envelope"

If they're all different channels and shows then who writes the news? What's the company name on his pay check?

At first, I had a good chuckle. (I love Conan --- team Coco baby!)

But you’re totally right, on a deeper level --- it definitely illustrates how one-sided our media is. That’s pretty scary. I knew this to be true --- but sometimes such a blatant remainder really drives the point home.

And yeah, on what planet is same-sex marriage “pushing the envelope?” If I remember correctly didn’t even Homer Simpson officiate a same-sex marriage --- I think it was for Patty?

The Broadcasters really need to get with the times --- oh and it wouldn't hurt for them to learn how to report the news in a legitimate and objective fashion.

The story probably came from the Associated Press.

The Associated Press is an American news agency. The AP is a cooperative owned by its contributing newspapers, radio and television stations in the United States, which both contribute stories to the AP and use material written by its staff journalists. Many newspapers and broadcasters outside the United States are AP subscribers, paying a fee to use AP material without being contributing members of the cooperative.

As of 2005, the news collected by the AP is published and republished by more than 1,700 newspapers, in addition to more than 5,001 television and radio broadcasters. The photograph library of the AP consists of over 10 million images. The Associated Press operates 243 news bureaus, and it serves at least 120 countries, with an international staff located all over the world.

So -- if I learn to manipulate the content of AP and Reuters, I control all media? Sweet.
