We all heard george bush adamanlty told the world iraq has nuke's

they went in and still are there but alas no nukes!

I am wondering now how reliable the intel on irans' nuclear program is correct!

as we know he is determined to make nuclear energy! he has uranium but why is everyone so quick to say they are building nuke's?

should we not be demanding an atomic team to check properly first instead of their reports that he is "LIKELY" to be building nuke's

You just go on back to sleep, and let the grown-ups in Washington, DC worry about the big bad world out there. They'll take good care of you.

should we not be demanding an atomic team to check properly first instead of their reports that he is "LIKELY" to be building nuke's

And how would we know if that team had an agenda? Or was telling the truth?

Our masters... I mean leaders take care of us. The thing is Saddam may of had Nuclear Weapons so our masters... I mean leaders (I need to stop doing that) were just taking precautions. It was for the good of all us, go back to sleep little one, everything is going to be fine.

The capacity and enrichement capability of the processing equipment Iran has far exceeds its demands for its nuclear power program. A light water reactor only requires 3-5% enrichement anything more than is for a weapons program.

MAKE THEM SEND LIVE COVERAGE TO THE WORLD AS THEY INVESTIGATE!

we need an end to private and secret checks and believing the info!

[*SNIP*]
the world has to change by opening our eyes and finding solutions to war!
america should have no interest in iran a nuke wouldnt even reach the east coast of america!
If israel wants to be a bully let it doesnt mean the rest of the bullies have to come crawling out of the woodwork for their piece of flesh!

Iran havent been to war in over a hundred years yet your all scared they will nuke you!

[*SNIP*]

america killed nearly a million people in the last 20 years,

Honest question here no sarcasm intended.
3 to 5 percent you say.
I could use silver solder on my electronics but, gold is a much better conductor.
Would better uranium make for better electricity?
Really, I am no nuyalur fisusist.

Not a bad question. Naval nuclear reactors use HEU, that way you can use a much smaller reactor in a sub or a ship, where space is at a premium, and get much more power out of it but the reason HEU isn’t used in commercial nuclear reactors is because of cost. Enrichment is a complex process and its much more difficult (i.e. expensive) to make HEU as found in weapons and naval reactors. Its like using 93 octane gas when 87 will work just fine. Additionally, the VVER reactors that were build at Bushehr aren’t designed for HEU.

apparently so 3-4% is the norm!

but iran is only 20% enriched as of last month!
way too low for a weapon!
80-90% enriched
is what is needed for a weapon

That sir, was totally uncalled for. It was a bit of sarcasm and levity to make a point. And I think you understand that point, but you are a hothead who can't control his temper. You won't last long on ATS with outbursts such as you just displayed.

Since it went over your head, I'll explain. We have a nation full of people lulled into a sense of security thinking big brother knows best. Most of them can't grasp the concept that they're government is and has been committing mass murder in the name of peace.

And sending any team over there is an exercise in futility. Our "masters" are going to do what they want regardless of what you or I think about it because our voice is a minority at the moment. But that could change. Though I doubt it honestly.

i do know what the mass population believe!
I am just stating the obvious that clarity of investigations would let the world at large know!

I would like that change also!

I'm not hotheaded just european!

we like a good arguement!
it doesnt mean you have to say i wont last long on ATS!
curse words to me are just easier to express than anything else!
it's how we are "programmed"

Then there you go!
I'm sure they are just looking for more umpf for their buck.
But if we all believe that anything over the 1940's standard of 3 to 5 percent is nefarious then...
I hate percentages and statistics, they can be so good but usually just end up used for bad.
But, if left unchecked we will go into Iran and another war will be started and more peaceful folk will be killed in the name of peace, then the cycle will continue just as it always has.
We fall for the same crap every time.
Does anyone know why it is important to break up the family unit?
So children cannot learn from their parents mistakes.

Profanity and personal attacks will get you banned quickly around here. Be careful.

Nothing wrong with a good debate. That's part of what ATS is about. But best to debate the topic, not the person.

BTW. Welcome to ATS. Hang around awhile, we're not a bad group. And you'll have plenty of chances for debate, I assure you.

This isn’t an exercise in statistics, its physics. And you don’t get more umpf for your dollar out of using HEU in reactors, you get less.

thanks for the welcome/warning!

Americans seem to have a different attitude towards swearing than europe!

we use swearing as slang not derogitory statements.

most of the time!

You see, HEU, AMD, CNN, OPP.
All of these things I do not fully understand, just trying to find a reasoning.
But given the US track record, if Iran was such an "Imminent threat" we would have been there first.
But we did not, we went to the place that had WMD's, then our president openly joked about "nope no WMD's there".
I'm just calling bullspit where I see it, as Iran's possible WMD's do not affect me here.
When they are parked on our coast then we may worry.
I know when they are on the coast it is too late.
But we are all on the same planet so someone needs to think level headed.
