Ron Paul receives most from US Army US Airforce and US Navy. He receives more from active and non-active military than Obama and also the entire gop candidate field combined. Gee, I wonder who the commander in chief should be.

RP also gets the MOST individual donations (in the latest FEC fundraising quarter Q3 2011), which says a lot more than you think it does.

My fault, I was thinking about Q3 2011 when he cleared over 100,000 individual donations, destroying the competition.

edit: nm I haven't looked at the data.

I did just look to see if there was a record available for the actual number of unique donations, but couldn't come up with one without running around looking through other sources, only a % of the total amount.

That goldman sachs ones worries me.


Man I hope that Romney doesn't become POTUS.
He is the typcal type of POTUS, he will say anything and change his answers to suite his current needs.

Anyone can look at his history.

With that goldman backing though, it seems likely he will be elected as the GOP nom.

I feel you, and this is why I and many others across America are donating to Ron Paul. We can send a message that we will elect our President, he will NOT be chosen by special interests. About a month ago, we sent a message to the mainstream media in the Black This Out! money bomb where we did almost 3 million.

They more they reject our voice, the harder we fight back.

Before we get too carried away and make Paul some kind of "clean" politician, let's look at some of his contributors shall we?

Ron Paul is one of the only politicians that the lobbyists don't even bother visiting. Why? they'd be leaving with their lavish gifts and checks still in their hands.

Based on his voting record and reputation on the hill, he is the only one with solid proof that he will do what he says. You ignore that? of course you do. I'm sure it is easy to claim he'll break promises.

I've never voted before in my life because I refuse to vote for the "lesser of two evils" as I feel like I'm only contributing to the problem by doing so. However, I will be voting for Ron Paul in 2012. He has been consistent with everything he has said for the last 20-30 years. Mitt Romney scares the hell out of me. It's just something about him. The way he talks, looks, smiles, the things he laughs at, the tone of his voice.. he just gives me the creeps and if he is elected, I think we're all in deep S.

While just about every politician I've ever heard speak in my whole life has sounded disingenuous and dishonest, Ron Paul never struck me as such. He is the most honest sounding politician I've ever heard. What choice do we have? We can't keep going like this, I know that much. If RP did get into office and did the same as everyone else, I think there would be serious repercussions and maybe would still get change out of it anyway. All I can say is all of the other candidates sound and look like the usual guys, but Paul stands out as being different.

We'd be a lot worse off with the others especially Romney. God, that guy gives me the creeps.
