I am adamantly anti-PETA for tons of reasons. With regard to cow's milk, I am in agreement that it is not healthy for the human body. I disagree with the practice of pumping dairy cows so full of hormones that they can be milked 3 times a day instead of 2. Those hormones effect when children enter puberty, both girls and boys. It is not digested as easily as, say goats milk, and it is insanely expensive right now. We have the option of having our own milk animals. It works for us.

Are you saying cow milk is inherently unhealthy for humans or unhealthy after they pump the cows full of hormones.

Between cow milk and goat milk, they are pretty close to human milk. Not a whole lot of difference between these three species of milk.

You got it right, I dont drink soy because of the apparent estrogen levels, and I have a hard time finding organic rice milk, and the almond milk is probably the best of them all but its cut with soy and has next to no nutrition in it.

I have always been lactose intolerant to top it off so milk was never too attractive to me, except of course in a coffee, I hate rice milk in my coffee, it turns into dandruff.

When I was young I drank raw milk fresh on the families dairy farm I remember it had a unique taste to it. I used to love milk...These days however I cannot drink chemomilk without getting sick to my stomach and its not the lactose because I eat other natural dairy products.

Probably the only animal that drinks another animals milk too! Except when we give cow milk to another animal.
The cow has to have a calf before she gives milk. They take the baby away imminently so you can have her milk. If you have ever heard a Mama cow cry for her baby and a baby cry for her mother you may stop drinking milk.

But I am a total hypocrite as we still use cheese without calf belly rennet.

yes I have heard it, although peta go overboard in a lot of ways they do make a valid point on how we as humans treat those other feeling, sentient creatures, I try to buy non animal tested goods where i can ie dish-washing liquid, washing powder, shampoo etc and one day hope to go vegetarian but for now I'm an omnivore ....

I recently read an article saying you only need worry about the soy estrogen if you have not reached puberty. All I know is my husband loves it and has been drinking it daily for years...I have noticed no change, he is still a viral man! No Boobs :-)

I will only drink raw milk. People worry about the safety of it, but Raw milk is held to a higher standard than pasteurized milk. The raw milk I purchase comes from healthy cows and exceeds the the safety standards. No puss here. Pasteurized milk often comes from sickly dying cows. The milk would not be safe to drink if it wasn't pasteurized because the cow is kept in such horrible conditions.

There actually is a big difference in how the human body breaks down cow's milk and goats milk. Goat milk fat molecules are smaller and easier for the human body to break down and utilize.

We only drink raw goats milk. I weaned all my children from breast milk to raw goats's milk. Pasteurization is not an issue for us because I am extremely careful about my milking and milk-handling practices. When you heat the milk to 180 to kill all the "bad" stuff in it, you also kill all the good stuff. To each his own. I'm just saying what we do.
