Fire at Major Hospital in NY

About 20 minutes after end of the EAS test, Channel 4 WNBC flashes 'SPECIAL REPORT" and are now reporting that there is a major evacuation at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx due to some kind of fire. Entire ER has been evacuated and things look like they're a mess. Will advise more when available.

I hope for the best but fear they are zombies. It has started?

this is odd cause after the 3rd test of the E.A.S it wentto a breaking story "FIRE IN THE BRONX" very fishy huh

Nothing more yet other than it being a generator fire which started in the basement which is causing extensive smoke. Reports say it started around 1:30pm. Wonder if the hospital's TV system was knocked out?

In all seriousness, this is one of the largest hospitals in all of NY and it's major when they're being evacuated and not accepting other emergencies.

I believe you. A hospital being out of business in a major city with rampant crime is not cool.

Thanks for the update but 100 firefighters responding? Seems a bit excessive for smoke...
